Only 1 WR ran 4.2 last year in the fastest WR class ever, I think he’ll be OK matching Velus just a hair over 4.3….When Christian McCaffery skipped his final bowl to prepare for the draft, I railed against it. Thought the short term benefits of training for the 40 and shuttle drills would be outweighed by GM’s viewing them negatively in team dynamics and commitment. That didn’t end up bearing true. Comparing a returning Heisman winner and Nagurski Award winner who were 1-3 on most mock drafts to a slight receiver who wasn’t a top 2 target on his own team the previous year, isn’t apples to apples. Bama’s pair are going to be drafted high nmw. Jalin REALLY needs to clock a 4.2 to even have a chance as a first day selection imo. That requires intense, specific training. The slightest ding in a bowl game could endanger that effort. So I understand his reasoning. Not asking it of anyone else, but that’s immaterial.
We'll already have 82-83 on the roster with all of our signees? We probably have room for 2-3 more guys assuming no one leaves. Don't be surprise if we like our young guys we are not too active in the portal after the bowl game. WR, CB, and OT would be my guess moving forward.
VQ said uscjr RB (name escapes me) would be a take also.
The cool thing about our scheme (and one that should be marketed far and wide) is every player, both offensively and defensively, gets more snaps and so development is accelerated for everyone that sees the field. We have to start playing our young talent. Have a chance to mix them in with veterans and speed up their development.
GoneBig and strong enough to make a lot of money in the slot. If this is indeed the case best of luck sir and thank you for “the catch”.
