I know that some will get upset because of where we are ranked, but I actually gain confidence in our ranking knowing that we beat beat that same Clemson roster handily and destroyed LSU on the road. I'd probably put us more in the 132 range, but we're up there with the big dogs for the first time in a long time.
I think A&M and Ole Miss are also undervalued on this ranking.
Surprise Teams for 2023 - "These are the 12 teams that have a shot at stunning the NCAA":
Wisconsin
Texas A&M
Texas
Oregon
Washignton
Utah
Iowa
Oklahoma
Oregon St
UNC
TCU
Tennessee - they were nearly a surprise team last year as they were unranked int he preseason but were #1 in the CFB rankings and 8-0 when they lost at UGA. They were upset by SCar or likely would have been a playoff team. They lose their Heisman candidate at QB but replace him with super talented Joe Milton who did well in two starts and they have the best defense Heupel has fielded in his 3 years here. They do play Florid and Kentucky on the road and draw Bama and Texas A&M from the West, and of course play Georgia, but if Milton has a year close to what Hooker had they could surprise.
