Exactly. The high road isn't even on the map whenever it has come to sh!tting on us.

The moment Evan Russell was accused, on national TV, of being on drugs, was the moment "classy" fell from my want to. I have known for 30 years how easy it has been for EVERYONE to take their shots at us, laugh at us, and outright screw us...and, yes, I admit, we brought a lot of it onto ourselves; yet, I stayed tamed. Never again after the Russell shot; and, the fact the dude was allowed to still call games, let alone not fired...again, **** class!
Yeah, all these losers want to talk about how we should show some class while they talk non-stop **** about us and spent the last 15 years kicking us in the ribs every chance they got. Big no thanks on that one.

Steele's Power Rankings:
*I am only going to post the rankings for SEC teams, our opponents, and the teams above 120 points (means good team) so you can get an idea for where we fit nationally

Georgia 137.24
Ohio St 135.19
Alabama 135.16
Michigan 134.37
Penn St 132.44
LSU 131.84
USC 131.72
FSU 130.17
Notre Dame 129.74
Clemson 129.70
Texas 129.62
Tennessee 129.59
Oregon 129.19
Utah 128.64
Washington 127.78
Oklahoma 126.50
TCU 125.70
Texas A&M 124.94
Wisconsin 124.89
Oregon St 124.73
Kansas St 124.08
Iowa 123.94
Texas Tech 123.70
Ole Miss 123.44
UNC 121.40
Arkansas 120.82
South Carolina 120.76
Kentucky 120.41
UCLA 120.29
Florida 120.15
Illinois 120.11
Miss St 119.65
Auburn 119.25
Mizzou 117.09
UTSA 115.46
Vandy 109.46
Virginia 105.02
UConn 99.43

I know that some will get upset because of where we are ranked, but I actually gain confidence in our ranking knowing that we beat beat that same Clemson roster handily and destroyed LSU on the road. I'd probably put us more in the 132 range, but we're up there with the big dogs for the first time in a long time.

I think A&M and Ole Miss are also undervalued on this ranking.

Surprise Teams for 2023 - "These are the 12 teams that have a shot at stunning the NCAA":
1 Wisconsin
2 Texas A&M
3 Texas
4 Oregon
5 Washignton
6 Utah
7 Iowa
8 Oklahoma
9 Oregon St
10 UNC
11 TCU
12 Tennessee - they were nearly a surprise team last year as they were unranked int he preseason but were #1 in the CFB rankings and 8-0 when they lost at UGA. They were upset by SCar or likely would have been a playoff team. They lose their Heisman candidate at QB but replace him with super talented Joe Milton who did well in two starts and they have the best defense Heupel has fielded in his 3 years here. They do play Florid and Kentucky on the road and draw Bama and Texas A&M from the West, and of course play Georgia, but if Milton has a year close to what Hooker had they could surprise.

12th ranking is more than fair for this team. It remains below the 50% Blue Chip Ratio. Faces a few teams that are above the 50% point so 1-2 L’s are almost certain unless someone has magic dust sprinkled throughout. 9-3 10-2 range is likely what we’re looking at which isn’t terrible. Need another 10 win season to try and keep momentum for recruiting so eventually UT gets up there with the elite rosters in the sport

Steele's SEC Projections:

Tennessee picked to finish 2nd in the East
1686682548249.png

**They have Florida finishing fifth in the East this year

All-SEC Team
Bru McCoy 2nd Team WR
Joe Milton 3rd Team QB
Dee Williams 3rd Team PR
Jaylen Wright 4th Team RB
Cooper Mays 4th Team C
Omari Thomas 4th Team DT

**removed conference position rankings because there's something wrong with his data**

Tennessee Notes:
QB - Milton is in the Heisman mix in this offense.
RB - All three return making this one of the most underrated RB units in the SEC.
WR - The losses are heavy but this will still be a productive group.
OL - They still have 93 career starts and remain a top notch unit.
DL - They are in the same shape as last year.
LB - They get their #1 and #4 tacklers back and add a transfer, so this is still an experienced unit.
DB - Eight are back with starting experience and if they stay healthy they should make solid improvement.
ST - Should have another Top 35 finish.

Phil does talk to a lot of coaches and reporters around the country, so his projected depth chart is interesting:

In winning both regionals, we went 5-1 on the road, with the last two wins being the toughest of environments, being treated poorly by the host team, enduring BS weather delays because the NCAA and ESPN hates us. Eff all them haters. Tennessee's true character was revealed and the rest of the world knows it and they cannot handle it. Eff 'em.

What is up with team units having the same ranking order?

Yeah it was sarcasm…. Tony V and Frank Anderson are two of the best in the business.

Everyone in the media is really down on Florida but I have a hard time believing that they're going to be that bad.
