@Mike4Vols

Had a great trip. As mentioned we got screwed on our boat. Made it only 25% of the planned journey. Dream Yacht Charters is a ****** company and I'll never charter with them again if I have the opportunity. The base staff was nice and as accommodating as they could be but the management away from the base are all POS. If I have the chance to do it again, I'll hit you up.

Swain was on his ass about it too, at least during the first hour. Listening to it now. Says he made up his mind to transfer mid season and he isn't considered a vfl. Annoyed by Chase being mad about being benched when it was based on his performance. Josh slightly sticking up for him but Swain is ripping Burns and his camp. Both say it's not NIL.

bad look from the local media. just move on.

This is truly the start of their ending

I'm not entirely sure what they think their desired outcome is but they're going to lose in every court, they're going to go toe-to-toe with university(s) backed by their conference AND state.

I don't get what they think they're doing here, aside from lighting the fuse that will ultimately blow the NCAA up.

Soooo
Now the NCAA thinks they are above the law

damn dude that sucks, I'm sorry

I hate to say it, but I think we run up 5-10x this amount if last year's team went to Omaha.

Nobody was beating LSU because they are LSU and because they wanted to show-up Ole Miss. And now nobody will beat them because that's a ridiculous amount of jello shots

in our defense, the song doesn't talk about people coming to rocky top for jello shots...

Why are they all up in their feels about it like nobody cares that much. TV is gonna bring in more studs and the team will be stacked again

and now we're worried about one guy?

Let Tony manage his team, coach his players, and work through it. They'll be a better team for it

Woke up this morning to the call that my brother died in a freak accident. Then I got the call this afternoon that my friend of 30 years, found dead this morning by his fiancé.

(A) I believe the gospel, and there is comfort.

Wow, prayers for you Crush. Stay strong and keep the faith

That's not what I read at all. NCAA is clarifying what a dangerous game NIL truly is. Athletes can take the money and run because NIL (name, image, and likeness) is what's being bought and sold not a promise of attendance, commitments or a promise to sign and/or play for a given institution. Collectives will wind up getting burnt a few times and fans will get salty but it's always been understood that NIL is about the right of student athletes to make money off their own image and likeness (collectives have used it to buy recruits but that's not how it's meant to be used - it's just something that the NCAA can't really police directly without getting into really shaky territory because when something is NIL vs when it's pay to play is nearly impossible to distinguish).

Also, the rules about boosters buying access are still intact - the NCAA is saying you can no more buy access to a recruit via NIL than you could legally buy access with under the table cash (that's consistent). I don't see anything in the NCAA's clarifications that conflicted with any laws. Maybe I'm somehow missing that part?

The guy is popular and sought after because of Tennessee and Vitello, not the other way around. There are plenty of guys ready to fill his shoes and outperform his time here. I have no doubt someone will replace him and be better or just as good.
