Missouri transfer Dalton Bargo committed to Tennessee baseball over Ole Miss, Texas and Nebraska, the versatile defender announced on social media Thursday afternoon.

The Omaha, Neb. native was a freshman at Mizzou this past season and can catch, or play either corner spot in the infield and outfield.

If a few of these very close recruiting decisions don't go our way right now, no one expects them to be final. There are factors in play that could become less of a factor down the stretch. Recruits want to be part of the culture and what UT is building. They may be getting pressure from elsewhere, but few are shutting the door. The genuine closeness of the coaches and players across programs and the top-down buy-in to compete for championships in all programs means more than people think. Everything School is resonating.
