I was bitten several years ago, and it made a pretty big spot on my forearm. It turned kinda red at first around the little dot, then started turning like a bruise, blackish purple. It got hard, spot was about like the bottom of a coke can in size. I went to the Dr, and they gave me antibiotics, and had me take a few days, then I was supposed to go back and get it lanced. My old pastor, at church that night, told me to cut potatoes into thin slices, and tape to my arm, changing it every hour that I could. Idk if that actually helped, because I didn't take the antibiotics, or my body just fought it, but I didn't have to do anything else. It's rare to be bitten by a spider. Only black widows brown recluse spider have enough venom to do permanent damage though they rarely bite. All the other spiders are harmless. It's rare that they would bite a human. The only annoying thing about spiders are the webs and the pictured spider doesn't even make webs

One of y'all will have to do the defensive predictions, I can't get my mind off how many different ways our offense is gonna murder people.
and flying camoflaged ninja copperheads.I'll wait for @SoilVol to chime in hear. He is the resident moran in charge of wildlife that is not cobras.
worse than fire ants?I've been bitten dozens of times by spiders, and never by those two. If they get in your sheets at night or in your clothes and you shuffle around and bother them (or if they get hungry, I suspect, but I don't have proof), they'll definitely bite you. And they itch worse than any other bug bite.
