Both Campbell and Castles were starters in four year programs and are in their last year of eligibility. Different curve. I don’t disagree with your effort point, just don’t know why you’re applying it to Johnson. Lot of speculation based on what? Things you’re hearing? Blurb on VQ? Carts outpacing their horses imo.

This is based on what's been said by those who get to attend full practices. VFLs not talking heads. Like I said, it's not about development or talent. It's about "want to". A player has to "want to" do the things outside of normal practice and workouts to make themselves better. Those guys have been starters elsewhere because they had that drive and work ethic already.

I think the “golden era” had more great players, but Tiger was something special. He would be great in any era.

Status quo...if it wasn't Ohio St. then he probably picked FSU or Clemson lol...I don't think both of UGA and Bama make it though. Also, depending how much our defense has improved (which I've heard it has) and if Milton has it together like reports indicate, we'll have something to say about what team(s) come out of the SEC.

the collective ties them to terms that they would be unable to meet if they attended any other school or lived in any other town.

i.e. random signing at such and such business at 8:15am on Tuesday, in-person radio show post-game for these home games, in-person meet and greet for collective members sunday morning at 10am, so on and so on

Ok. So another possibility here.

Say they accept that offer, start getting paid now per Missouri law, and then back out of the contract. Would assume they would owe any money received back but would still be a pretty sweet "loan" for a high school senior.
