I think the worries are legit. The big drop by Keyton really sucked because it was Milton’s first deep ball and it was on the money. Milton missed a couple throws that stalled us but overall was much better than his previous starts. Again that deep ball should have been caught. I hope we just had such an easy time with Virginia Huepel didn’t need to do
Much else. Let our offense line have more time to work out kinks. But I left the game feeling the same way, I hope the offense doesn’t regress too bad with new qb and play caller. I will say nico looks like he could command the offense. In a worse case scenario I’d still wager nico could get us to 7-8 wins then a bowl game. Maybe exceed that you never know. I’m expecting joe to get better each game. Let’s remember last year that at Pitt we started slow. Maybe this is similar for our offense. We haven’t even started getting our playmakers involved outside rb room.

Defense played much better than I expected. Not perfect, and not sure if it’s Virginia not being good but it’s an ACC opponent. We let way worse teams rack up yards previously.

I think at Florida is going to give us a good feel for how we fare against the better teams this year. They will be ready to go, we have to survive their initial surge and take care of business. We need to

Anyone have any idea if we can still pay for parking passes? I didn’t get a parking pass with my season tickets because I wasn’t for sure how many games I’d be able to attend this year. But it looks like illl be able to go to 4 or 5 so I want one

I’m good with locust street garage. It’s right off the interstate from my 4 hour drive and I actually like the walk to the stadium.

I have seen private parking lots near there offering spots for $25 or so, but I’d hate to have to rely on those.

Heupel is the key offensive staff. It’s his playbook, and he can take over play calling if he wanted to.


That said, I do find it concerning that we didn’t really try the long ball, or even more concerning if it just wasn’t there. That play has to work for this offense to work. Short dump off passes won’t keep a defense honest, and we play the 3 best defenses in the conference this year.

OMG...do people never watch what the defense is doing? We didn't throw it deep because the point of this offense is to take advantage of what the defense is doing.

Virginia was dropping back on nearly every play...so we threw it short and ran the ball down their throat.

Virginia was dropping back on nearly every play...so we threw it short and ran the ball down their throat.

Bama dropped safeties back 20 yards every play in the second half basically and still got killed over the top. I get it’s Virginia and you don’t need to take the risk like you do vs Bama, but it’s still an observation

Playing a 2 deep zone most of game which opens up the running game after getting past the first would be tackler...... with Joe showing some more than usual running look for Florida to but a spy on Joe ......

They did and they still couldn't cover Hyatt. That is why we kept going to him.
