Georgia playing press is a dangerous game for them with Tennessee receivers....a couple of slants for Touchdowns or a couple of out and ups for Touchdowns will cause Kiby to give a 5 Yard cushion on outside or play zone which in turn will help open up Tennessee running game...

There were big plays there to be made, admittedly they were fewer in number than usual, even against that defense...which is one the greatest defenses I have ever seen.

OSU showed that even the best defenses are vulnerable to these offenses on a neutral field where the crowd doesn't give the defense a massive advantage.

Heupel was able to get Hyatt matched up on a safety one on one, and the safeties got split wide. Really the only one where a safety was further back was the last long throw where Hooker split the defenders.

The offensive scheme though is pretty simple as we throw based on the defense. We certainly throw wrinkles in it, but it’s all based on numbers.

Yup. The broadcast talked about it over and over that day. If you go back and watch Bama would try to keep their safeties high but we kept scheming Hyatt to have to be covered by one of the safeties. Hyatt absolutely abused both safeties that day.

We don't know what the future looks like but UVA's supposed strength was the DL and they were abused. The OL ate all game. Big for that unit. I do agree that the Bama's and UGA's are a different world though. Let's see if they can do it to UF.

UF defense looked like they were running in molasses....but the crowd will give them a boost. We need to shut them up early so we don't keep getting procedure calls and getting way behind the sticks.

I have no problem with the OP post about his questions/concerns. What I don't understand is why you think he will be picked apart when people are answering his question. Even if he had stated it as an opinion, instead of a question, why would you feel threatened by people questioning your opinion? The vast majority of people here do trust the staff. Why is that surprising?

This. I've never been able to understand people who come on message (i.e. discussion) boards and get offended because they seem to not have expected people to either disagree or discuss the opinion they just posted.

I don't think you can judge much from Game 1. And I think we'll be vanilla as possible in Game 2. I think both games are about working out kinks here and there, and giving opposing teams looks at other parts of our game. I think it'll be Florida before we really start to see what we have on offense. And I don't think the departure of Golesh is going to hurt us. Halzle is more than capable with the guidance of Heupel.

Agreed. I could see a heavy dose of Thornton and White against UF. Which brings me to ask, any news on White??

I’m going to guess we will go dark mode against Georgia. It will most likely be a night game, so a perfect spot for it.

Georgia game will probably be our classic orange and white, they usually wear them for our top rival games to promote our brand. I feel like it will be a 3:30 on CBS game since they have first dibs over sec games this year. We will probably breakout darkmode vs A&M or USCjr

I don’t know if I’d call it that. More of a half truth, partial truth more appropriately. Ya they definitely weren’t two time defending champ uga, but to say you (Kelly) don’t know why they thought that is hilarious when you literally said just as much. Awful. How about call better plays and convert 2 4th and 1s to be up 31-14 at the half instead of 17-14. How about establish some resemblance of a run game to wear down the defense, so Daniels doesn’t have to make every throw in the book to come out with a win. How about show up on defense with your many playmakers and don’t let florida state get so confident that they impose their will en route to a 21 point 4th quarter lead.

Kelly sucks, plain and simple. Also, FSU now has a clear path to the playoffs if they beat Clemson in a couple weeks.

I could 100% see Duke upsetting Clemson tonight, it has all of the ingredients for an upset:

-home primetime game for duke
-season opener

Milton has started 3 games…. We scored 50 points twice….. 31 against Clemson which is more than Hendon scored against Pitt in regulation…. The offense is Heup’s baby so the play caller shouldn’t be a concern….. I think the main concern with Milton is if we play a game where we have to score every single possession like Florida/ Alabama…. Will he be efficient enough to do that? Hopefully…. Our defense plays better and we don’t have to play any games like that.

I’m saying Milton’s misses were not nearly like his previous starts. He was overthrowing everything.
