I don't understand why anybody that takes narcs would even want to use Kratom...that makes no sense. It works better for pain than any over the counter stuff, but it has no where near the effect that Hydro or Oxy does...it even has less effect than tramadol on me.I have had patients prefer Kratom. It’s a “natural pain medicine.”
The one thing that I would caution you about is that people have died mixing Kratom and narcotics. We (as a group) make our patients choose because of that. No condemnation, but we can’t prescribe the opiate medication if you also are taking Kratom due to the potential for a deadly combination…
As far as marijuana goes, it’s the same in that we have to make people choose. Since the Federal Government requires periodic urine drug screens, and it is still illegal in Texas, we have no choice but to terminate the opiate agreement with repeated positive tests for THC. I don’t care, but won’t lose my license for anyone.
If you’re having a procedure that requires anesthesia, please let the anesthesia personnel know that you use either Kratom or marijuana. It can change the anesthesia medication that they choose for you.
Not trying to scare you away from either, just look into the ramifications of anything that you decide to try.
It does work well with nerve pain. I take it for tingling/pain in my head. MRI, CT, x-rays, blood work, etc. used to rule out anything else, but the gabapentin eliminates the tingling/pain sensations.Gabapentin knocks me out like a light...and it screwed up my metabolism big time. I was prescribed it in 2004 and gained 70 pounds in 7-8 months. I quit taking it because of the weight gain, and I've struggled to keep weight off ever since. If I eat carbohydrates..they go right straight to fat where I used to burn them. My Dr told me when I asked him what the hell was going on that he had explained to me when he first put me on it for nerve damage, that slowed metabolism was a side effect in a small percentage of people, and I told him that he had only told me that I could gain a few pounds thanks to fluid retention.
Either way I will never take it again...I went from 200 to 268 and have struggled with my weight ever since.
But it was miraculous how well it worked on the nerve pain..
Once they decided to give Tannehill a big contract…. It was ride or die with him….. the smart thing to do is build the entire team and then drop a stud qb on a rookie deal to win it all and keep the team together as long as possible. Not like I said it was common place or anything.
I just get the vibe from Vrabel that he'd rather spend the money for building his team in other areas. But could be that was Jon more than Vrabel, not sure. We'll see this off-season though.
But since 2018 when Vrabel took over Malik Willis at the end of round 3 last year is the highest taken QB so far. But moved Mariota, and was willing to take chances with Gabbert & Tannehill in free agency.
I understand why they went all in on a Klubnik coming out party after seeing the destruction QBs had called down on our defense during the season...and conversely Milton has struggled over his career, so after his performace against Vandy they were probably 90% sure that Clemson was going to destroy us like 45-20 with Klub throwing for 400 and 5 TDs....but..Yep, the producers prepare talking points and the heads try to stay on-script. When things don't go as expected, it's hilarious to watch them hammering narratives that no longer fit-- especially when they have packaged segments that are off. It's even funnier to watch them try to adapt on the fly.
We enjoy making a drinking game out of it. Had a side bet in the Orange Bowl on how many times they'd find a way to work in a negative narrative about UT. I took +5 and wasn't disappointed.
I was kinda surprised our defense showed up the way it did. Hope it's a precursor to next year's improvement on D.I understand why they went all in on a Klubnik coming out party after seeing the destruction QBs had called down on our defense during the season...and conversely Milton has struggled over his career, so after his performace against Vandy they were probably 90% sure that Clemson was going to destroy us like 45-20 with Klub throwing for 400 and 5 TDs....but..
