TENNESSEE
The Vols were the big surprise of 2014, nabbing a top 10 class despite a sub-.500 record on the field. This year, they're already off to a better start than the 2014 cycle, with four four-stars already in the fold. Headlining the class is Rivals250 offensive tackle Jack Jones, an in-state talent who was identified last spring by the Vols. Other impressive names in the class include Rivals250 defensive end Andrew Butcher and Rivals250 wide receiver Preston Williams, both players from the Atlanta area. A trio of three-star prospects from the Volunteer State are also already committed, as is Rivals250 linebacker Cecil Cherry, a product of former Tennessee pipeline school Frostproof, Fla. High. The Vols won't likely be able to take more than 30 commitments like they did in 2014, but they're off to a good start in terms of building another terrific class.
I don't care what anyone says. The 2014 recruiting class was perhaps the most important in the modern era for TN. Most people do not realize how bad this roster was depleted
I'm with you, man. I don't think you were implying he'd be fired. I think you meant if he leaves for another job or some bizarre circumstance of fate happens. No, he hasn't proven anything on the field yet, accept for the big win over SC, but he has given this program a tremendous shot in the arm when it was nearly DOA after years of neglect. Even if he were to leave after another year or two, the program would be in great shape for the next guy.
I think that was your point.
No offense taken - you made a good point. Totally agree on Adams. I really don't care for his columns or listening to him in person. He is arrogant without having accomplished anything in his career but stirring the pot and being divisive. He has blown off his own talent. I wish he would retire or leave because McElroy will never get rid of him since he likes to stir it as well. And they wonder why subscriptions are tanking! Amazing.
The posts that I and the older in age object to is the stuff like the uni change or trashing the 'down in front' when standing at the games or the music is too loud or stinks. Junk like that. They say the gray or blue hairs will hate the new uni, or screw the old people that don't want us to stand, or screw them if they object to wearing ear plugs because we like the music and the louder the better. Derogatory stuff lumping folks in a category and then dismissing them as if they don't matter. The old folks are paying the freight over there and we all bring something special to support our Vols no matter the age. However, some of the curmudgeons should also shut their mouths and get along with young folks as well. Without the young the game dies.
:hi:
That's fair I just think whoever comes after CBJ will reap the benefits just like Majors\Fulmer
