Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

It's not easy to get to 11. Some of these guys are expected to contribute.

im confused at your post on page 38 then

anyway - imo - its not hard at all to find at least 11 that have a 5% chance or less at making the 2 deep in the fall - doesnt mean they won't play at all or get no ST snaps but there are a lot of guys in that list who have basically zero shot at the 2 deep

Smh at FF posters writing Dobbs off after 4.5 games as a true freshman...injured for 1.5 of them

I'm still not sure what people expected out of a true freshman QB playing against that schedule. I think Johnny Manziel has clouded people's judgment, and he wasn't even a true freshman.

@patrickbrownTFP: RT @MikeReiss: In opening remarks at combine, Bill Belichick made note of almost the entire Tennessee offensive line present. "Pretty unusual" he said.

Raulerson, maybe a couple DL. Honestly, not many.

agreed - i am counting 23 that I think have a very good chance at competing to get into the 2 deep - im sure all wont make it but all of these should be in the hunt

Dbarnett, Dbates, EvBerry, Dblair, Gbryant, Rgaulden, Dhelm, Dhendrix, Jhurd, Jjohnson, Tkelly, Jmalone, Cmcdowell, Amedley, Dpayne, Dscott, Cthomas, Cweatherd, Vwharton (returner), Owilliams, Ewolf, Lpearson, Mixon

El Berry will likely be a ST guy so while not on 2 deep don't see him RS

id say best bets are moseley (get more weight), Robertson (position switch possible), Mosley (get weight down and tough to be FR at his position), Raulerson, Jhenderson (get more weight), Creamer (finalize a position) as most likely candidates

Injuries are impossible to account for without simply having talented depth... how do you think we weather the injury storms this year? I think we are better off this year at several positions from a depth perspective, but where are we most vulnerable?

How many years have we seen when we didn't suffer a significant loss to injury?

I am finding the "too many recruits" in late February meme far more negotiable than the "not enough recruits" in June dynamic.

i wouldnt say from a depth standpoint necessarily but I think Lpearson's playmaking potential is off the charts and something that isnt there in many other receivers - guys like Malone run great routes but if your QB is struggling or the OL isnt giving time that type of WR can be neutralized

someone like LP you can just throw it a quick 5 yards and get 50 out of it - critical to have when we have so little known coming back with the OL and QB

so LP is my pick for dont get hurt award

Am I the only one that is itching for good news in the 2015 class? Not necessarily a commitment, but ready for a big recruit to say we lead or something. Would be nice to have a guess at what QB, RB, TE, CBs and DTs we might land. Im not really worried about the OL because there are so many good guys that are high on UT.
