Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

Last night from a poster on VQ who lives in Hattiesburg...

hattiesburg VOL thoughts on Tyndall

As I said over a week ago the best thing for UT would be to get coach tyndall. I was the one who compared him to CBJ. He has a unique ability to motivate a fanbase and have his players believe they can achieve. After watching UT and USM closely the past ten years I am going to go on a limb and say Tyndall is the best Coach of all sports I have ever watched. When he came to Hattiesburg he held a meeting with about thirty of us fans called the Netheads and told us not to be concerned about that years team. Even though on paper we were outmatched in almost every game he promised us our players would play harder than every team we faced and will run a systematic game plan that we would all be proud of. He promised great athletes on the court and great individuals off the court. And in the past two years that is exactly what he provided. USM is not a BBall school but while Coach T was there it became one. For all you vol fans that always talk **** your gonna eat pie on this one. I said when we fired Dooley and hired Coach CBJ it was a great move and Im telling you guys this if we are lucky enough to get Tyndall its an even better move. Stand by Haters this guy is gonna be great. I said it last year there was no other coach in America right now I would rather have coaching my team other than CDT. He has never had a platform to recruit like he will have at UT and I promise you he will be amazing at it. His work ethic and enthusiasm is unmatched

The song "Let it Go" from the Disney movie Frozen. Anyone with young girls in the house can sing it from memory. There's been some good parodies out there too.

My seven year old granddaughter sung the entire song for us Sunday. I don't know the words but was told she got most of it right. I asked her if she was going to be the singer of the family since her sister plays the fiddle and guitar and one of her brothers plays the mandolin and piano and her other brother plays banjo and guitar.
Their musical talent amazes me, I only play the radio.

good point. and in the end it really doesn't matter how many 5 stars they have sitting on their bench does it? They have no practical effect on the game. Since recruiting is an inexact science at best, our players that are on the field just have to be close in talent to the ones Bama is playing at any one time. Many 5 stars under-perform and many 3-4 stars over achieve. That's where coaching and desire of individuals come in. That is where CBJ can make his next mark and prove he is not just a great recruiter but a great coach. We are already on the right track to catching them. I guarantee you the other SEC coaches have noticed what we have going here, including Saban. And they know we are going to be a force to be reckoned with... soon.

Yes, soon.... :loco:

Lol!

I don't think most fans understand the budget issues Hart has to manage (and still be expected to hire a good coach). This article provides the gruesome details...

Low Hart Rate - Tennessee Sports Radio - Tennessee Sports Radio

As you said SC, I think Hart is the best hire we've had in a long time. He inherited a bigger mess than many people knew.

Get these facts out of here. Hart sux because he didn't get Smart or Marshall. Hart needs to man up and pay 4 mill a year to get the homerun hire. Rah rah rah.

No, it's a line from the song he referenced and had no ill intent at all. I have my own daughter who I am blessed to say is her mother made over. My wife and I will sing that line and when my daughter brushes us off, we sing "okay, bye."

Oh yeah, I remember that line (I should, since I've now seen or heard the movie about a dozen times - my three-year-old boy loves it, and is constantly singing all the songs).

Sorry I jumped to conclusions!

My fiancée and I adore frozen. We sing the songs all the time, and the parody vines are priceless. Ain't nothing like having some one sing in tune to the song, as Anna faces the door, doing a black moms be like vine saying "don't you lock no doors in my hooouse, you don't pay no f***in biiiiiills"

That was fast!

I've got a good feeling about this guy. I think we may catch lightning in a bottle again.

And you guys are underestimating Hart's ability to find coaches. The jury is still out on Jones and Tyndall but they appear to be like-minded individuals. Doing it once might be luck. Twice? Hmm.....

I agree with you. I think Hart knows the exact type of coach that our rabid fan base needs to keep them energized through the first 2 to 3 years of the rebuilding phase of both of our programs. Obviously, he knows exactly what he is doing.
