As we said yesterday, Pinkins was the leader to be added to the staff at Tennessee. That process appears to be happening through the University system as we speak.

Look for a formal announcement from Tennessee and Tyndall likely later today.

The USU -2 line never actually existed. It was just a random projection. The UT -6.5 is an actual line that can be bet on at one of the largest online sportsbooks in the world.

I first saw it on Twitter and the way it was written definitely made it look like USU -6.5, so you're not alone there Aesius. I was like there's no way this is real...

Gotcha. I made same mistake. UT -6.5 probably is more reasonable given all the uncertainties around QB, OL, DL and heavy reliance on first year players.

I still think this is one of the few games we have where we will simply out talent them in the end. I can't imagine them stopping our offense. Too many different ways for us to score this year and too many good athletes.

There's a small part of me that agrees with your optimism. I try to temper mine with an acknowledgement that we will be young, inexperienced. But every team in the East is flawed, so anything can happen. Why can't we be this year's Mizzou?

If we win either the Oklahoma or UGA game, I think the season changes dramatically. That would be a huge, unexpected attention grabbing win that would boost the team's confidence in a big way. Could set us rolling...

Great young player, seems to be a great kid. But the key words in your accurate post are "for his age". He's done some great things getting on base, stealing bases, hitting for a good average, showing some pop in his bat. Still waiting to see the "eye popping" power numbers, 100+RBI seasons, etc. If he stays healthy, this year could be when we see some of that, but the jury's still a little bit out on him IMO in terms of projecting as an all-time great with the other guys you listed.

No way USU can stop our offense consistently all game. I don't really see them stopping our offense much at all. Our D will make enough plays to keep them in check. Maggitt will be all over their qb's azz the entire game too.

We win by 10+ easily, imo. Actually, with this game being moved to Sunday night and not many other games on tv at the same time (if any?), I could see Butch wanting to pour it on them a little. Neyland will be rocking with a night kickoff and the much anticipated legacy class' first game. Perfect opportunity for Butch to showcase what he's building to everyone around the nation and especially recruits watching.

We win by 20+ easily!! :)
