A little off topic, but I heard someone (I don't recall who it was) on the radio yesterday talking about Oregon making comic books for potential recruits. Apparently, the school created these comic books portraying the prospect as the hero, saving the program and hoisting the crystal football after winning a national championship. Anyway, I thought it sounded pretty cool but apparently the NCAA squashed did.
Does anyone remember hearing about this? And if so, did any of these comic books ever get posted online?
This. Talent will not be an issue. We will have some youthful growing pains, but talent is everywhere. It's just a matter of adjusting to the college game and minimizing mental errors.

Saw this on twitter. Siap
We are going to be scary young/inexperienced in the 2 deep this fall. My expected brand-spankin-new starters at some point in the year are:
Coleman
Blair
Pearson
Malone
Mixon
Hendrix
E. Moseley/Gaulden
TKjr
That's 8-9 of 22 starters with players who just got on campus or are still in high school. Very talented, but no big-boy experience whatsoever. We will take down the mid-level foes, but we just don't have the combination of experience and depth to topple any giants yet. I think 8 regular season wins is the absolute best we can do.
I was hoping Gaulden locked down the corner opposite Sutton. I know he is probably best at safety, but he has the ball skills for corner. I say put the best 5 (including nickel) and let them play.
Oklahoma is poised for big let down. I'm just waiting to see what our team does in year 2. They think we'll be slow and won't have the athletes to run with them. Talent won't be the issue it'll be youth more than anything.
We are a 4-3 that is going to run >50% Nickel. Partly because of opponent offensive scheme and partly because of personnel limitations.
Guys are setting themselves up for a huge disappointment thinking we will even stay close to OU. 100 degree heat, first big road game with a team full of (talented) youth, along with being controlled on both LOS's will result in a long day.
This matchup will be very much like FSU vs OU in 2010. FSU just came off a tremendous recruiting year and Jimbo was moving the program back to national recognition. FSU fans had big hopes for that 2010 game calling it their we are back game. Well, they werent quite back yet. After getting beat 47-17 they left knowing they had an extremely talented team but was very young in their skill positions and O & D line. The good news is we all know 3 years later they win the natty. Its going to take time guys, bottom line is TN isnt going to win in Norman this year. With that said, Go Vols!
I'd love to see us play a 3 safety set some like the giants did in 2010 with Fewell. Getting McDowell, TK, Gaulden on the field with cam would be like christmas for jancek, lots of options and creative things can be done.
