Set the dang edge - turn the dang play back inside, dang it. Maybe have a strong safety that plays strong.

45 squaring up his shoulders and hips in the gap, then driving through the ball carrier. That instead of running to the side and grabbing them by their shoulders or neck.

Add:

45 OFF THE FIELD ON 3RD AND LONG.

Now that the SOS rank is out, don't let the Jimmies get rustled when UT is picked by the media, coaches, etc to go 4-8, 5-7 this year. People got all mad last year when UT was picked to go 5-7 and then proud of how hard the schedule ranked.

Oklahoma is poised for big let down. I'm just waiting to see what our team does in year 2. They think we'll be slow and won't have the athletes to run with them. Talent won't be the issue it'll be youth more than anything.

This. Talent will not be an issue. We will have some youthful growing pains, but talent is everywhere. It's just a matter of adjusting to the college game and minimizing mental errors.

We are going to be scary young/inexperienced in the 2 deep this fall. My expected brand-spankin-new starters at some point in the year are:

Coleman
Blair
Pearson
Malone
Mixon
Hendrix
E. Moseley/Gaulden
TKjr

That's 8-9 of 22 starters with players who just got on campus or are still in high school. Very talented, but no big-boy experience whatsoever. We will take down the mid-level foes, but we just don't have the combination of experience and depth to topple any giants yet. I think 8 regular season wins is the absolute best we can do.

You think TK going to take over for Randolph?

I would be really happy with 8.

Dang.

The Harrison twins are coming back to UK.

They're going to be absolutely loaded. WCS, Poythress, Marcus Lee, Dakari Johnson, Harrison twins, and their 2014 class.

Not Randolph, but I think he could go to FS and give McNeil a run for his money. Shoot, it's likely Randolph will be hurt at some point giving TKjr the green light at SS. I think he's talented enough to get a few starts somewhere back there.

I think McDowell would be more likely to take over SS wouldn't he? Randolph is the QB, we are screwed if he gets hurt again.

Big wishes for our defense this year:

- blow up and stop WR screens. Please please please

- qb pressure. Please give me an average of at least 3 sacks per game.

- better matchups/talent/athletes with putting speed on speed i.e. Not seeing 45 running laterally across the field 5 feet behind a slot wr. And not seeing McNeil/toney/swafford running vertically 5 feet behind anyone.

Over/under on how many WR screens Utah State throws in the first half?

If the tweet in the recruiting tweets thread is definitely from Hendrix, then it sounds like he might be set with his grades and be here next month. I asked Saulsberry at the O & W game when he would be ready to go, and he said he would be full go by the summer.

Thanks man. I know Saulsberry was looking so good for a short while then injuries took their toll. If he stays healthy along with Danny O. I think we will be much better on defense than some think. As for Hendrix, he is one of my favorites of the incoming class. I think he has the potential for being really special before he leaves Tennessee.

This team is young up front on both sides of the ball, I just don't see them begin strong enough to hold up when we play the elite teams in the SEC, in a couple of years maybe, we need a lot more talent and bodies up front before we can play with the big boys.

Glad to see the twelve steps are helping.

A little off topic, but I heard someone (I don't recall who it was) on the radio yesterday talking about Oregon making comic books for potential recruits. Apparently, the school created these comic books portraying the prospect as the hero, saving the program and hoisting the crystal football after winning a national championship. Anyway, I thought it sounded pretty cool but apparently the NCAA squashed did.

Does anyone remember hearing about this? And if so, did any of these comic books ever get posted online?
