I would expect an all-out blitz if we lined up like that. They can't cover us so they have get to the QB. If our Oline is as weak as some expect that's probably their best defense. Right? So the QB has to get rid of the ball fast and the receiver makes a play after the catch given that we should have numbers in their secondary. Should work every time if Riley can read the damn defense. :)

I'm probably being ridiculous here but I would say from what I've seen thus far that Riley doesn't need to be out on the field if teams are going to be blitzing us.

At least not yet.

Jones was on TSR today. Some solid stuff, including his thoughts on Coach Tyndall, his blatant dodging of the QB question from Swain, and what it's gonna take for Pig Howard to be reinstated. He even takes a shot at Vanderbilt: "we're not a team that schedules 4 automatic victories". You can tell he's definitely not overlooking USU or Ark State.

Oh, and he says he likes his chances in a dance-off competition vs Coach T at the Big Orange Caravan events.

Jones is actually pretty funny when he's not laying on the coach speak.

Wow, forgot about the Jackson rumor.. The position is already stacked as is, but Pig and Kameel make it unfair. :popcorn:

Taking a break from a Masters work to chime in on the QB situation...

I'll say the same thing this year that I said last year. Our best chance for success is Worley winning the job and keeping it all year. That would almost certainly mean he had a good year, stayed healthy, and we won ball games. Most other scenarios have us in a bad position (injuries, losses, or both).

All IMO, of course.

I tend to remember lots of things when it comes to recruiting. Mainly because I read it and then post it on the weekly recruiting update. I see things multiple times. Im willing to bet a lot of people forgot about that rumor

Im with the majority here. Worley takes the spot. Ferguson comes in for garbage time so Dobbs can redshirt and get an extra year of eligibility. I tried to say this in the FF after the spring game... and 1 dude said no... and that Dobbs was the #1 and we should redshirt the other 3... and to back his point, he said that Ferguson doesnt fit our offense.... he would fit better in a spread offense.

WR looks beautiful on paper, but only North has done much so far in an actual game. Pig has had his moments, but we are still looking at a lot of potential
