Glad you're ok, man...and good to hear there are few injuries as well.

aftershocks are still going on. We just had two five minutes ago, 2 minutes apart. Someone said that another earthquake is supposed to hit soon, but I'm not sure if that's speculation or what. I haven't seen any official report on that.

Earthquakes are scary mofos. I was in San Francisco with my family when that big one hit in '89. I was 9 years old and it was absolutely terrifying. Stay safe out there man. You're all in my prayers.

Love your Avi. She's one of my favorite characters in GOT

Don't spoil things too much for me guys. I'm reading GOT right now and I'm just now at the "Hand's Tournament" but the tourney hasn't started yet. I know who she is but she's not done her thang yet in the book. And I'm trying to catchup in the books so I can start the show. :)

The books are amazing, Martin is really unlike most authors I've read. He's definitely not afraid to shock the reader and take unexpected turns.

I'm currently reading a Bernard cornwell series and he's also really good.

I was shocked at how well written it is. Most sword/sandals type books aren't written so well but Martin is a fantastic writer. I knew ahead of time he wasn't afraid to let characters drop left and right but what kinda shocked me was that he went directly into the story without giving you much backstory at all. It's like you're immersed in this world and all this stuff he's introducing you're just gonna have to learn as you go. I really like his style.

I haven't heard of Bernard Cornwell but I'll add him to my list. :)

I just started watching the show two weeks ago and I just finished the 3rd season this weekend. Absolutely love Dany/Khaleesi and Tyrion. Haven't started the 4th yet so no spoilers please! :)

You're farther along than me. But I can't make up my mind on Tyrion - love his character but don't like some of things he does.

Robert Jordan's The Wheel Of Time series is phenomenal. There are many aspects similar to GOT as far as politics between nations. It's called the Game of Houses in his epic. So for lack of another way to describe it, because it's so different....it's like GOT plus everything that was badass about the LOTR plus everything that was badass about the force in Star Wars. Combine all that into one perfectly woven story and excellent character progression, and you have one of the best sci-fi/fantasy series ever written.

I started reading this series based off of a recommendation on VN. The series will suck you in and you'll be on book six or seven before you know it. Love The Wheel of Time series. :good!:
