Robert Jordan's The Wheel Of Time series is phenomenal. There are many aspects similar to GOT as far as politics between nations. It's called the Game of Houses in his epic. So for lack of another way to describe it, because it's so different....it's like GOT plus everything that was badass about the LOTR plus everything that was badass about the force in Star Wars. Combine all that into one perfectly woven story and excellent character progression, and you have one of the best sci-fi/fantasy series ever written.

JONES: Pig Howard, I just got off the phone with him. We have set some parameters that he has to meet, they are from our players

JONES: He will go before the 13-person player staff & they will meet with him and make a decision. Its an honor & privilege to play at UT.

Pretty strong aftershocks still continuing. I'm not sure how many we've had since I went to bed, but I've been awake for 15 minutes and there have been 4-5.
Been a few slow days in Vol news, huh?
Maybe I'm in the minority but I read the first book of Wheel of Time and didn't really care for it much. Got bored with it.
And I love the genre. Haven't gotten up the courage to spend the time it would take to read the second one in the series and try to get into it again.
