Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

I started reading this series based off of a recommendation on VN. The series will suck you in and you'll be on book six or seven before you know it. Love The Wheel of Time series. :good!:

Did you ever finish it Glich? I've read the series through, all 14 books including the prequel, 3 times now. Light! It gets better every time, but those flaming women....and poor Matrim Cauthon.....never gets a break from those bloody women.

I am halfway through book nine. Everytime the action starts to slow down he just jumps to another story line that is rocking. Blood and bloody ashes Mat just can't catch a break. Even for a ta'veren.

And yet you've never seen a Buddhist blow up a building because of a differing opinion.

No, but I have seen them set themselves on fire over a differing opinion. That's not normal. Actually Buddhists can be violent just like everyone else. Especially around Southeast Asia in places like Myanmar. As it turns out there are crazy people of all kinds everywhere.

Big time likes for you Glich, I knew I liked you for a reason other than being a dedicated Vol Fan! (no homo) I just had to figure out what it was! Keep reading!

The 2010 pro style QB class was one of the worst of alltime. Its funny that two of the best to come out of it college production wise were actually Tyler Bray and Tommy Rees. The best of the class was probably Blake Bortles who was ranked #44.

Top Pro Style QB's from 2010 class.

#1 Jake Heaps-Signed at BYU, transferred to KU after his sophomore year, now is probably leaving again after being outplayed and beat out by a true freshman in 2013.

#2 Phillip Sims-Signed with Bama, transferred to UVA, failed out, now is playing D2 ball at Winston-Salem State.

#3 Connor Wood-Signed with Texas, transferred to Colorado, was beat out by a freshman in 2013 and will not play his final year of college football.

#4 Brett Nottingham-Signed with Stanford, transferred to Columbia after throwing for only 100 yards in two seasons at Stanford.

#5 Jesse Scroggins- Not done yet…but he signed with USC, left and went to JUCO and now is at Arizona. We will see what he can do his final year as a Wildcat.

#6 Blake Bell-Not a bust, just will not play QB this year at OU because a freshman beat him out.

#7 Tyler Bray-In the pros, just had a dumbazz head coach in college.

#8 Paul Jones-Signed with PSU, left after being converted to a tight end, is now at Robert Morris with one year of eligibility.

#9 Zach Lee-Signed with LSU but never enrolled after signing a $5 million deal to play baseball with the LA Dodgers.

#10 Scotty Young-Signed with Texas Tech, transferred after the 2011 season to La Tech.

OTHER NOTABLES:
#12 Sean Mannion-Oregon State
#17 Tyler Gabbert-Missouri
#22 Nick Montana-Washington
#29 Matt Joeckel-Texas A&M now TCU
#31 Tommy Rees-Notre Dame
#39 Trevor Siemian-Northwestern
#44 Blake Bortles-UCF

Yeah, Buddhism has a lot of prejudice and scay extremism. Nailed it!

No Wheel of Time spoilers!! I just got into the series. I'm about halfway through the second book. I'm loving it so far! I'd read all the GoT books that had been released and then started WoT while I was waiting for the next one.

No spoilers then....but please do yourself a favor and finish the series! It is Exquisite! It only gets better.

It really is. I'm already liking it better than GoT, which I loved. I can definitely see it being a series that I read multiple times.

I'm not surprised you are liking it better than GoT. Also, the last 3 books were co-authored by Brandon Sanderson because Robert Jordan died before he could complete the series himself. However, do not let this discourage you. Jordan's wife(his editor for the entire series), along with audio tapes, notes, story lines, and specific details provided by Jordan were supplied and all worked together to put the final pieces together just as Jordan would have wanted. You really can barely tell by the writing style that the author was technically different. He was very true to the legacy that Jordan left behind and did an admirable job of finishing the work.

6.0. Damaged a well known temple. At another temple, a large Buddha's head fell off.

I ain't sayin... but I'm just sayin.

Did you call these events like Moses did? Very powerful conversion tool if so... :)

Hope no one was hurt...stuff can be fixed or replaced :hi:

Ryan Callahan on 247 making it sound like there is a good chance PIG is back on the field shortly at UT.

Saw someone quote Butch on twitter saying that they will know whats up with Pig in the next 2 weeks and they hope to get him back for the summer

Jones: I have met with Alton Howard, we should know his future in the next couple of weeks. We would like to get him back for summer.

I hope he can get back with the team. His experience playing alongside a young offense could prove to be a big deal.

.@UTCoachJones expressed optimism about WR Pig Howard (FREE READ): Jones optimistic about Howard #Bolts @wesrucker247

"The big thing for him is, if he is back — which, all roads kind of lead to that right now, but we’ll see how it materializes — but we would like to get him back here for summer and get going," Jones said during Monday's Big Orange Caravan stop in Atlanta.

The thought of getting Pig back and adding Kameel as a walk-on is crazy. What a ridiculous group of WRs.
