Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

Cant really do anything if the kid himself isnt motivated. It would be like stepping on the gas pedal of a Ford Mustang GT with the rear up off the ground.

What if the V8 Mustang drive train had been swapped out to a front wheel drive V6 conversion?

They are moving these kids to different positions. :p

Curious to see who you guys prefer in Gentry or Gibson. I think both are dynamic QB's. I personally think Gibson would be an exciting option at QB with the weapons we have at WR.

I'd take Gentry and not give it a 2nd thought. 6'5 230 and he is mobile. Much better passing QB IMO. With our weapons at WR, TE, and RB, I'll take Gentry. Jennings is a very good #2 QB for this class. I'd happily move on with that.

This is where I am with it. If it works out the other way I will be supportive - just know it will take longer for him to be in position to take the job. More development work in the passing side of things. Gentry is already there.

Makes me nervous. I can't help but hope the guys not yet on campus are going to be able to help right out of the gate. I'm just not sure how much I believe that.

Well Carr and Brown weren't seeing field now anyways so they def weren't when new kids got here. Jaylen Miller and Saulsberry will be healthy come fall as well

I don't know if we can get away with this subject but I'm curious how people here feel about our coaches top to bottom. We talked a lot about our talent and the position groups but it may be taboo to talk about our coaches. I'm a trader so I'm suggesting the use of broker recommendations for expressing one's opinion/present assessment of our coaches at this point. The recommendations are Strong Buy, Buy, Hold, Sell, Strong Sell. I'm looking at their resume, their first year performance with us, and the immediate challenge before them.

Jones = Strong Buy
Bajakian - Hold
Gillespie - Strong Buy
Mahoney - Hold
Azzanni - Buy
Elder - Hold
Jancek - Hold
Striping - Buy
Thigpen - Strong Buy
Martinez - Strong Buy
Lawson - Strong Buy

Change Elder to Buy and you've got it imo. He's been very impressive iyam. Good post...

Yours doesnt match mine. I dont think Wharton will be over Jenkins or Johnson this year. JMO

You also have Ellis as the last guy in the TE spot. VQ had him as the post spring starter on their board.

Saulsberry will more than likely be starting

and both CB depths are up for debate

All JMO though
