Of course that didnt last very long, but thank you Dooley. Thank you for making me wish, for a brief time, that I was not a football fan, you clown.

Its not a radio hosts job to be a homer. Their job is to give their opinion based off their knowledge of whatever topic or team is being discussed. if want homer radio listen to TSR which is done on the 29th. Obviously a radio station that is 100% homer didnt last longer than 4 years. Sunshine pumping radio doesnt work. Negativity and controversial radio does. I would rather hear the truth about the Vols than some radio host speaking untruths just to make me feel better. Three years under Dooley we stunk up the SEC but hey lets speak positively about the team after losing to Kentucky so I feel better. Or a radio host keeping it real saying we suck and Dooley should be fired.I will go along with your score prediction. I heard a couple of the guys on one of the sports radio shows in Knoxville this morning talk like they felt Tennessee should win the first two games but they also thought that both USU and Arky St. had the talent to beat Tennessee.
They apparently were going by what they did last year and must have not looked at what players they had returning. It would be nice to have some radio sports talk shows in Knoxville that actually had some good things to say about Tennessee football and basketball. Two or three of those guys will talk against Tennessee until they win 3 or 4 National Titles in a 4 or 5 year period and they still won't have much good to say about Butch Jones.
I remember sitting in the stands as the clock ticked down and people continued to file out. I only get the opportunity to go to one game a year, I usually pick a big opponent, and it usually ends with us losing. However, game day was in town and I was jacked up about seeing us finally getting a W over Florida and how I was going to drink the town dry in the aftermath.
I remember kind of soaking the atmosphere in - the sky, the stadium, the beauty of it all, combined with the crushing disappointment of how that game went.
I also remember saying to my wife, "Im done. I cant be this emotionally invested in something when it causes much more pain than joy."
Of course that didnt last very long, but thank you Dooley. Thank you for making me wish, for a brief time, that I was not a football fan, you clown.
