I'm pretty sure that was the first time I ever deleted all college football-related accounts from my Twitter feed and had a media blackout....until the next game, at least.

I've done that a few times since then, haha. Think I did it after UGA 2013 and again after Vandy 2013. Never fails that I get sucked right back in within days, though.

Funny. I did that after the Vandy game last year. Wasn't mad at CBJ or anyone in particular, but just the reality that we've had so many heartbreakers these past few years. Made me question why I follow it so much.

Their job is to give their opinion based off their knowledge of whatever topic or team is being discussed. if want homer radio listen to TSR which is done on the 29th. Obviously a radio station that is 100% homer didnt last longer than 4 years. Sunshine pumping radio doesnt work. Negativity and controversial radio does. I would rather hear the truth about the Vols than some radio host speaking untruths just to make me feel better. Three years under Dooley we stunk up the SEC but hey lets speak positively about the team after losing to Kentucky so I feel better. Or a radio host keeping it real saying we suck and Dooley should be fired.

I'm not saying I want a sunshine pumper on the sports talk shows. These I'm talking about wouldn't know the truth if it busted them in the chops. One in particular constantly runs down Tennessee football, men's basketball and women's basketball. He wants Butch and Holly fired. He'll make a comment then when someone brings it up later he'll deny saying it. His prediction for the football team is that they won't win 4 games which means they'll win 3 or less this year. I'm sure he'll come up with a way to weasel out of his prediction in December. Being negative might be O.K. sometimes but doing it just to be controversial just shows his stupidity.
He can't even say anything good about Peyton Manning.
He argued this past season that there were at least 6 or 7 QB's better in the NFL than Manning saying stuff like Manning couldn't hit his receivers & couldn't play under pressure. Like I said before showing his stupidity. If Manning had played anywhere but Tennessee he would probably have had him on top.

This was true for me as well until I heard the UGA game last year when UT blocked the punt to score.

Lol. If anything Jimbo Fisher is the man who shut up the SEC.
