As much as I would like to shut Bob the **** up, I would have to pick a W over Florida. As said above though, let's just smack them both in the mouth for 2 wins. GBFO!!!

I gave ya a like because I had almost the same thing written then erased and wrote what I did. Decided I couldn't decide which would be the better win so why not just take both.

Thank you, sir. :hi: If only picking one this year I would have to go with Florida because, well, it's Florida. If we don't get em this year, good ol' "Big Game Bob" will get his when he comes to Knoxville in 2015...

I just want to say that my life has been so much brighter since I decided never to step foot in the TG thread again. All sunshine and rainbows now, boys and girls!

@Josh_Ward: Alrighty RT @CareyWWLS: "He's the man who has single-handedly shutup the SEC." - Toby Rowland introducing Bob Stoops.

This is getting old by OU people. They beat one team and act like they've done it for a decade. I really want to stomp these fools.

lol how awesome would it be if we upset them and the look on stoops face

How would you guys feel about getting rid of color commentators? Their football stupidity is often annoying. I would love to see Galloway and Blackledge actually do a game together.

I don't mind them that much...they usually help keep things flowing. It can get pretty bad if they don't have good on-air chemistry with the play-by-play man though.

Anyone have any thoughts on Emmanuel Moseley winning a starting job? Maybe it's because I keep seeing where he was the No. 857 overall prospect (that's not really why), but I'm not sure I see him as a starter right off the bat. I know many already have him penciled in against Utah State and will disagree with me. Who do you guys have starting at corner?

IMO he does have the upper hand at the moment, but it will depend on what kind of camp Berry and Gaulden each have. I could see Berry being the best of the bunch with his athleticism. We don't necessarily have to have a world beater opposite Sutton to begin the season...only someone who isn't going to bring a lot of attention to himself. That's the best thing a young CB can do is not draw a lot of attention. It usually means they are doing their job. So much youthful talent in the DBs. Exciting and scary at the same time...

How do you compare the speed of Moseley and Berry? I tend to think Berry is the more physical player of the two right now (obviously as he's about 30 pounds heavier from the numbers I've seen), which gives him a slight edge in my book.

I've also found it interesting and a bit perplexing that McNeil, especially considering his experience, is an afterthought at safety. It seems the odds are with TK Jr or McDowell winning that job.

Both have legit 4.4 speed. Berry's speed just makes him that much more elite at his size imo. Once he grasps the schemes it's going to be awfully hard to keep him off the field. He plays very fast and he plays very physical. Berry may prove to be the best player in his class before it's all said and done imo.

As for McNeil, I think he will be on a short leash. I would like to see him succeed and let the young guys learn a bit. I've also wondered it's really not a matter of if, but when one of the young guns takes his spot. McNeil is a nice player, but we've got some flat out ballers on campus. How long before one of them is ready?

I would rather have the win over OU than UF for 4 reasons.

(Not in order)
1. To shut up Stoops
2. A big road win
3. Start the season 3-0
4. Beat a top 10, possible top 5 team.

Also, you gotta think about the momentum it would give us. Georgia's got off the field distractions and is already worried about us after last year. I have full faith in saying that Butch has Georgia's team figured out, we just need the talent to compete and the depth to stay in it for 60 minutes. We're on their radar. Then you look at the next game at Florida, if we come into it 3-1 or 4-0, they are shaking after a loss to bama and looking forward to LSU. I really think the Florida streak comes to an end this year. I believe Butch understands the importance of that game to the program's reputation and the fan base's blood pressure. Combine that with our teams tribal attitude, young talent, and the roar from 105,000 in neyland (yes I think there will be overflow), it makes me think Florida is the game we tip our hats to this year. A lot of if's, I know, but all we can do is imagine at this point. There are so many factors: Worley's supposed improved accuracy, the mildly experienced lines, and how much we can open the playbook at this stage, but I think this is the year we make a step. A&M and Missouri did it. Tennessee's time will come, I just really hope it's this year.

I would just like to get rid of Verne. His Teboweroticism was the final straw in a broadcasting career I've never really liked, but truly hate now.
