I'm not saying you're opinions are invalid or wrong. I would simply suggest not to ut 100% faith in short videos.

:hi:

You shouldn't post your opinion if you don't want a response you're not a fan of, imo

This is what yall arent understanding.

Im not putting faith in the videos. Im just simply posting observations. It doesnt change my perception of the team. Im saying the QBs looked bad in the videos because they looked bad. Im saying Malone doesnt look like hes giving it his all because he doesnt even try to catch some of the balls. Thats also the reason he ended up in the hole.

Its like saying, "oh, Pearson made a nice catch".

Its just observations

Often times when a coach consistently rides his team like this, its because there's reason to believe they can reach the standards that he's preaching. Last year, we heard a lot of patience being practiced with Butch's comments...this year, the gloves are off.

Worley, IMO, is nothing more than a "game-manager." All he needs to do is run the offense efficiently and let the skills players around him do the dirty work. So long as he keeps the INT's to a minimum, we'll be fine...or "ok" at least.

I believe you just hit the nail on the head.

Hope whatever is ailing him... He gets fixed ... Hate see him transfer out and be a all American somewhere else... Malone that is

I think a part of Dobbs' problem that we've all seemed to forget is that he had thumb problems last year. Also, he only played against one bad defense last year. (Kentucky) In that game he had 3 TD's (one running) and a QB rating of 153.5.

My point is, he NEEDS snaps against Utah State and Chatt to build his confidence. If he can go out there and sling it/run it without worrying about his job, I think he'll be a completely different player.

Yep, I was going to post something similar. The best thing for Dobbs would be for us to have some blowouts where he gets an entire quarter of pressure-free work.

You guys would be amazed at what setting your phasers to "we'll make it to a bowl game this year" will do for you.

No one is questioning your observations or opinion POA. Pretty sure most respect it. Unfortunately, your observations are bringing all the doom and gloom people out.

For some reason those people don't understand that the people (for the most part) that are responding to them are merely giving their opinion which just so happens to be different.

I bet he's on some lists come seasons end though.

That's a bet I would take 6 times over. He has a great chance to be one of the best in college football by his Junior year. Heck, he already has gained a ton of praise just from his Freshman season and it looks like he is not slowing down either.

Based on...?

Look, I'm not dogging Worley but my confidence level was unjustifiably higher than it should have been. Off season's have a tendency to make us forget some of the issues from the previous season.

Last year, I was pretty damn low on Worley. His passes seemed lazy, he held on the ball too long, and his accuracy was anything but good. And this is who's leading the pack, so far, in practice.

This isn't pessimism, this is reality. We have concerns under center, major concerns.

If Dobbs can't beat out the rich man's Matt Simms, then our hopes of getting to a bowl game are going to rely heavily upon our OL and RB's. I have as much confidence in the RB's as I do any position on the field, if not more so.

There's still time for things to shape up and settle down...hopefully they do.

3 Reasons I believe Worley will be solid:

1) Butch decides what the media/fans see in fall camp.

We are 100% certain he uses the media as a reward/motivation tool for his players. Don't you think he understands how else to use the media to his advantage? Managing expectations is huge in every industry, college football is no different.

I'm not suggesting he's having Worley dog it in front of the media. Just remember they are not running quick slants across the middle. They are running red-zone plays on day 6 of camp against what seems to be some sick cornerbacks.

2) He improved a lot last year. His UGA & USC games were good enough that he put is in a position to win both games. If he started this year where he left off pre-injury, I'd be excited.

3) Word out of the Manning Camp from multiple reports was that he was a much better QB than last year. Swain & Ainge leaked after the first practice that he was a different QB.... but suddenly in the 20 minutes the media sees he sucks? Hmmm, I don't buy it.

This. All of this.

We are very likely going to start 3-6, and have to win our last 3 to go bowling. That's rough...

According to Hubbs, Malone has hit the proverbial "freshman wall". Hubbs said when Malone is running routes vs. air, he's not understanding if he can get better. However, when it's a competitive drill or you line someone up in front of him, Josh has been automatic. He creates seperation and he doesn't drop the ball.

Hubbs compared it to North last year. Marquez wasn't sure what he could gain from running air routes. Same with Josh. Not a good complete practice player right now. When the lights go on, he's something serious.

And Malone didn't get dropped from the 2 deep lol they are rotating bodies. Josh Smith has had a great Fall Camp thus far and they are rewarding him.
