UF - UT will be ground and pound for 4 quarters.

I don't see the yards coming through the air.

We will have to utilize our wr's though. I don't see us trying to beat them down field a bunch, but we'll try to keep it 50/50. It will be a great match-up, the best secondary vs. one of the best wr's groups in the SEC.

Ever.

That one game could have saved our season. If we win that game, we make a bowl game. If we make a bowl game, it erases the Missouri, Auburn, Bama, and Oregon blowouts --- which were brutal. Instead, we laid an egg.

UT probably did as much as anybody or any team to get James Franklin his dream job at Penn State. Makes me sick.

The coaches must be better than that this year. They just have to be.

Regardless of how bad they are, when you play someone every year, you will eventually lose. It is inevitable.

I don't know how UT had anything to do with Franklin going to PSU other than he realized that Butch Jones can recruit his ass off and was going to be a problem.

Sorry it makes you sick, but Vandy was a good experienced team last year. Some of our fans just can't believe that we weren't as good and still should have beaten them. Blame Dooley. Don't blame our coaches with a true freshman QB and mostly all first year WR's.

Nah...

Their back 7 is insane. Their front 4 are all above avg to great athletes. Maybe their offensive WRs aren't good but their RBs are and their o line is very solid.

Back 7 insane????? They're starting freshmen back there on the back end. While they are good players they are still Freshmen and Sophmores. Come on now, I can't call the unproven insane my good man. :) who I'm worried about is Fowler up front.

How good are Cummings and orr? Maybe I'm underrating them and thus the line.

Taylor and Brown is a good duo.

Maybe I'm overexcited Haha

Solid but inconsistent Orr has been making a strong case for most improved player. Solid depth and size behind those two with Brantley,Bostwich, and Ivey. Bullard will move inside on passing downs for Ball or Gerald Willis at rush end. Reports from camp have said he's the second best pass rusher after Fowler.

RB after Taylor could be by committee. Brown, Lane and Jones are all pound it out guys.

X factor is B Powell. Up to 185 @and still has his speed. 150 total yards in scrimmage last nite.

WR are what they are...Dunbar is consistent. DRob and Fulwood should have big years. TE Jake McGee is going to be a huge this season. Kid may save Chumps job.

OLine IF healthy should be one of the most improved units in SEC.

Still comes.down to Driskel.

I just don't understand. That O-line had so much talent....

That talent was spent after the Bama game. What we didn't know when Tiny was jumping off sides every time we had the ball and a drive going early in the Mizzou game and for much of what was left of the season was that his knees were so shredded that the NFL wouldn't take a chance on drafting him. The rest of the line was beat up and worn out as well. No depth, dings, and injuries caught up to them before Dobbs took his first snap at starter.

They didn't underperform - they just didn't have anything left in the tank post-Bama and the pain and injuries started causing a lot of distractions, mistakes, and penalties. They didn't lay down and die but they were injured and exhausted to the point that they couldn't even push for a yard against Vandy.

Freshman? Poole is a Jr and VH3 is soph.

Maye is NB

S Gorman is a Sr and Neal is a Soph. Harris and Nick Washington are RS Fr.

Duke, JC Jackson and Tabor will all see action at NB and Dime.

Athletically. Yes. They are superior

That's why a minutes after I posted the original reply I went back and made sure I was clear. He said we're fielding better athletes, that isn't the case

Just another thing to blame Dooley for.

The playing field is getting even but we.'re not ahead of them as a whole yet. That offense they have doesn't have a lot of juice.

Poole starting outside???? :) and I actually like Gorman. If he breaks out it wouldn't surprise me. We got something for #1 though you can bet that. :)

SIAP, from SDS - Ole Miss and Arky are huge.

1. Ole Miss 326
2. Arkansas 325
3. LSU 321
4. South Carolina 318
5. Alabama 315
6. Florida 313
6. Missouri 313
8. Mississippi State 311
9. Texas A&M 307
10. Tennessee 305
11. Auburn 304
12. Kentucky 301
13. Vanderbilt 300

Closer than it has been in a while.

I thought the QBs looked better in the practice highlights from today. Less errant throws and better timing.
