I was pretty impressed with Young against Mississippi State in 2012. I thought he showed good promise in that game. If Scott passes Young that only means good things for this team, but I would love to see Young ball out his last year and have a really good year. Wouldn't mind seeing what Scott can do returning kicks.

Promise two years ago is one thing. He also did it in only one game...... I want Scott to take the No.3 spot.

How were you pleased with DY in the Mississippi State game?

He fumbled twice in that game. One on punt return and another on a carry.

He also got moved to slot receiver last year because we had the depth of a D-III school at Wide Receiver. With all the coaching changes we have had, he hasn't really been able to stick at one position or consistently be in the backfield. I really want Scott to produce, but I want him to earn it. I also want to see a local boy go out with a bang, and if you don't want that then thats fine.

After all the S*** that these seniors have been through, I would love to see Young be one of the producers on this team. He's faced the adversity and put in the work, and as Butch would say, let him go and take advantage of it.

Edit: Main was too strong of a word. I just meant that his stats would be productive enough to create some buzz around him.

Todd Kelly Sr
Montario Hardesty
Jeff Hall
Tim Priest

Of course I wasn't pleased with the fumbles, but I thought he ran the ball pretty well. Looking back at the stats he had 13 carries for 58 yards. His fumbles didn't make me near as mad as Rivera not running up to make that catch or calling for a fair catch on that kick-off.

I just thought the game showed he could play a little bit. I have confidence that Butch wiped the slime of Dooley off of him.

If he can stay healthy, he will contribute. He also needs to be used correctly in order for him to produce.

Rajon looked solid last night. Looks like one of the 3 best of the GB backs behind Lacy and Starks plus he is faster than those two bruisers. Hope he makes it.

I'll say this we're finally getting the level of players that UT should have. You'll see the difference game 1. Our freshmen are on the level of the seniors coming in. That should tell you something.

He was awesome. I think that last year with Gillespie and finally getting himself a 1k-yard season really did wonders for his play and confidence. Hope he makes it as well.

I understand that. Went back to watch fall practice highlights from last year and I was amazed at the difference. I expect a lot of the freshman will play and even start, specifically Kelly Jr. who I think will take over at safety beside Randolph.

With Scott being hurt like he is and Young showing out, coupled with the comments of the players and coaches, I just think Young is going to be the third back for the year. I'm fine with that too, because I think this will be the first time since he has been here that he will be in the correct role.

Scott redshirting or not being the No. 3 back this year isn't the end of the world by any means. Marlin and Young are gone after this year. 2015 is gonna be the year of the three-headed monster at RB with Hurd, Scott, and Kamara.

With Paulk as the 4th of 3?

I'm not sleeping on him. His time to shine will probably be after Kamara bounces to the NFL.

BTW, I didn't intend that statement directly to you, seems to me he is overlooked in general. When I reread, it did come across like that and it wasn't intentional.

On a sidenote: what channel is the SEC Network going to be on Dish?

5 headed if you add Rocky Reid an T Paulk!
Excellent problem to have :)
