I'm not saying he will..But he has the talent to blow up.. Lol at nobody knows him... Scouts are at practices all the time.. His age plus getting hot down the stretch make it possible. He is our best playmaker, and most scouts are "what have you done for me lately"

I just don't agree. I guess we will see in a couple of months

No way Pearson leaves after this year. Same with Maggitt
AJ will be in their ears about not leaving. If they can remain healthy, Pearson and Maggitt would clearly benefit by the additional coaching up and they should end up being higher picks. Besides, with the chance to have been on the same team with future legends Shy and Mac and eventual NFL superstar QB Quinten Normady...plus who knows else (?)...they'll stay. Cheer for me in the checkerboard, fellow VFL's.

One question: Why the Hell can't anyone spell Dormady correctly? I'll hang up and listen. Go Vols!

Just to revisit an old hot topic discussion, regarding criticism of players.

I would never condone a personal attack on a player, or their worth as a human being, and that line rarely gets crossed around here. But I have no issue with discussing strengths and weaknesses.

It's funny to see people come out and say, "Where are the haters!!??" when someone has a good game, or a good season.

The fact is this, last year, several of us were noting areas where AJ Johnson could improve, "shedding blockers, speed, meeting the ball carrier in the backfield, aggression", and I believe those points were all valid. It is also clear that he has greatly improved in all of those areas this season. Now, folks wanna jump all over the people who pointed that out in the first place and call them out. LOL, if he had done that in the beginning, there would be no discussion. Of course our mouths are shut. He's doing exactly what he is supposed to do as a senior LB. Great job AJ!

The same goes for Smith with his drops last year. Now he is catching the ball, I'm the first to congratulate.

As for Croom, I think he'd be the first to tell you the OK game was not his finest hour. He stepped up against UGA and made the plays when given those opportunities.

Anyways, just on my mind, so there it is.

Just some final thoughts on practice this week: This team appears to be extremely focused and quietly confident heading into the game this weekend. There has been a lot of bulletin board material coming out of Gainesville this week and I think that it may be an underlying motivator for this team right now. There is likely no way to know about that until we ask them about it after Saturday’s game, but this team has a different vibe surrounding it as compared to previous weeks and I can’t help but think that the chatter coming from various Florida players might be playing a factor.

Im Hyped

I agree. I don't see Maggitt leaving either.

I also think Maggitt would be better in the 3-4 and isn't necessarily served by our system. He may end up having a better pro career than college career if he hooks up with the right team.

Blair and Mixon had their stripes removed today

You will find out how the coaches feel about Blairs future during the utc game imo. If they burn his redshirt then hes taking a spot & they are going to have him 2 & done. If they hold him out you have to believe they feel he can contribute the next 2 years.

Everything else being even, and only two options, who do you prefer?

Bajakian
Chaney

Go.

Thats tough because CMB doesnt have his system QB & line so its hard to tell how well he will do in the future.
Chaney had dools so who really knows? He chucked all over the field here & at Arky they run 75% of the time. Prob have to give Chaney the nod but hedge ur bet until we have a dual threat guy taking the snaps for CMB

If I had to create an offensive staff between our current coaches and the previous staff, I would do the following:

OC: Chaney
OL: Pittman
WR: Azzanni
RB: Gillespie
TE: Elder

There's a difference in offering legitimate, constructive criticism but many went well beyond that with Croom. Heck, Freak had to delete the thread. Much of it was totally uncalled for. Jmho.

you are correct,..several threads deleted in a matter of minutes.

And that's exactly what I am NOT talking about here :hi:

Well I thought you were referring to me with the "where are the haters now?" Comment cause that's exactly what I said after the GA game. It was directed to the ones that were truly haters.
