Ah, I see where you are coming from. I just feel like the committee having a "Top 25" is stupid. If you aren't in the Top 4 then it doesn't matter where you are in that certain poll. You are either in or you are out of the playoff. It is just a stunt to create more hype for fans.

This is it. It's a bone to ESPN and all the other media outlets. Let the debate!

They did have a BCS poll that ranked everybody rankable based on the formula.

Not serious, just asked a question...VN is fun, not serious, but your pic would be considered poor taste by many.

So just curious

Is this about the quote bubble that said, "Ferguson? Butch please"?

If so, I don't see how that is in poor taste. If this is about something else, please disregard. :hi:

Lol, you guys gotta read this. Jesse Palmer got blasted for saying Jamies Winston is the best big-game QB in CFB and for comparing him to Michael Jordan.

ESPN's Palmer delivers unfavorable quarterback evaluations

Just for fun, who do you guys like more(or hate less):

Just went back and watched the offensive highlights. Dobbs was just slightly off on some big throws. Three specifically that would have resulted in td's. Those were to Jenkins, Malone, and Johnson. All three were more of a touch or angle issue rather than accuracy. If he gets this fixed, oh man lookout.

I haven't rewatched and my memory kind of sucks but i thought most of his misses were along the sidelines. He seems to have trouble tossing it diagonally on the money.

Yes, all three were down the sidelines and all three were open. Jenkins and Johnson's being the worst. Jenkins was one with nobody around him and way underthrew it. Johnson had his guy beat by three steps and it was underthrown being intercepted by the safety crossing. However, the throw to Johnson might have been a poorly executed back shoulder pass.

Just watch Freaks offensive play video. Takes 14 min to watch every play. One to Croom over the middle in the end zone was a TD if thrown well. The timing will come. He has a cannon. He made some big big time throws to Pig and a few to the tight ends. Two weeks with 1st team reps and I expect he will shred UK.

Can't exactly remember where in the game, but Dobbs also missed a wide open Johnson in the endzone. We either rolled him out or he rolled right from some immediate pressure. Johnson was further down the field, but Dobbs took a shorter dump off on the same side (I think). It didn't need to be a perfect pass because Johnson probably didn't have anyone within 7-10 yards. But that stuff happens. QB's will make mistakes. It was just tough at the time because we were trying to come back.

I am not sure I can explain this, but my sense is that the Vols don't hit the boiling point with Dobbs, unless the kettle has been on the stove without him the first part of the season. In a way the rest of the offense needed to be "warmed up" to be able to support him effectively. If this doesn't happen who knows how things might have stalled.

A perfect example is Hurd's block on the the toss to Croom. And Croom sitting down into space for that matter. Hurd and Croom had gotten up to speed on their roles. They knew what was indicated in the dynamic flow of the game. Having the discipline and confidence of Worley in the early year allowed for great teaching opportunities to reach this level of offensive team performance. Second guessing doesn't solve anything. Strikes me as fascinating that the offensive kettle seems to have started whistling. I mark it up as a coaching accomplishment.

I think there is a lot of truth in this. Football is a weird game.

I know our team could use the bye to get healthy, but I wish we played this week. I just can't wait to see them out there again.

I feel like Ryan Jenkins is a player who will be a solid contributor once Pig and Pearson leave. He'll have been in the system a while.

For those of you who like to borrow trouble from tomorrow for something to worry about (lookin' right at you, catbone) :) :moon2:

Do you think with the bye week, the team comes out rusty when the KY game starts, and gets into a bit of a hole?

I think Coach Jones will have them ready, but years of watching the Braves come out of the All-Star break with a lot of rust to work off has got me wondering.
