He really should consult with this guy more often before sending out tweets; or maybe trade places with him?

I actually love those commercials. My roommate hates them, lol. "Did you play last year? Didn't count!"

Anywho, I honestly do not like Jesse Palmer or the ex-UGA player. They both may bring great insight on how it is to be a player on a team, but from what I have seen both of them are not good at their jobs on set. Heck, I think Tim Tebow is annoying to listen to (and I don't mean that because he is a former UF player). If you listen to Tebow, he sounds like a robot. Yelling in a monotone voice hurts the brain

Coming to stay?...Signing day is in February...if this is being organized I'd be
Daughter cheereading competition. It is a few weeks early for a pretty signing day party.Let's just make it a few Vol fans hanging out talking Vol football over drinks and food. Not organized but everyone is welcome.

I'm in...still haven't met Doc or bignewt...or anybody?

I don't like any of the three (Palmer, Pollack, Tebow), but I can't even stand to watch those Saturday morning pre-game shows anymore anyway. It seems like most of it is just superficial melodrama, like a football soap opera or something.

I usually enjoy Tom Hart during his Braves games reports, but I admit I was hatin' on him last Saturday, and I really can't stand Stinchcomb. I wish the Vol Radio Network broadcast wasn't always so far ahead of the picture, or I would just turn on Bob Kessling. For as much as many folks hate on him, I'd much rather listen to him than to most of those clowns that we get.

This is the comeback and OT of the USCe game.

Lattimore officially retires. I'll never forget that play and it worries me when watching any of the taller backs play. Kid was months away from financial freedom and in one play its gone. So sad. I wonder how Eric Gordon feels even though it wasn't intentional it still can mess with your head.

I still hate recalling that play and how his leg flopped over. I pray that he will do like Inky and see God's will in it and use it for his own betterment and God's glory.

You're right about that kind of stuff messing with your head. Did you watch that Chucky Mullins documentary? The guy that hit him never really recovered after that. His whole life changed. At least Lattimore is able to still live a normal life. I bet he'll have plenty of career opportunities in the state of South Carolina.

Yep he doesn't have that electric motivational personality that Inky does though. Latttimore was more of an actions speak louder than words guy. I think he will find success somewhere with his work ethic though but doubt it would be the Inky motivational speaker route.

For those of you who like to borrow trouble from tomorrow for something to worry about (lookin' right at you, catbone) :) :moon2:

Do you think with the bye week, the team comes out rusty when the KY game starts, and gets into a bit of a hole?

I think Coach Jones will have them ready, but years of watching the Braves come out of the All-Star break with a lot of rust to work off has got me wondering.

What's up JP! You know, after BYE weeks CBJ usually has the team ready. Just look at the UGA game, we played great (other than fumbles). I also think we are tired and banged up. This off week will benefit us by getting the players time to heal up. Right now I'm feeling pretty good and would be disappointed if we lose to UK, especially at home.

I feel like a jerk because right after that play I stood up and screamed curse words at the TV in excitement. Like celebrating his injury. Mostly because it seemed like a great play from what I can remember. The heat of the moment got me and I'm glad I wasn't a representative of the big orange on television that day. Luckily our players handled that whole thing with incredible grace. One of the brightest moments of the Dooley era.

Just watch Freaks offensive play video. Takes 14 min to watch every play. One to Croom over the middle in the end zone was a TD if thrown well. The timing will come. He has a cannon. He made some big big time throws to Pig and a few to the tight ends. Two weeks with 1st team reps and I expect he will shred UK.

I usually do just hadn't had time yet but thanks for the heads up that he has it done.

Exactly. My hopes are this as well. He can either let this rule the rest of his life, or he can rule it. God gave him a gift. God has something up His sleeve that is better for Lattimore than the NFL. Book it.

For those who didn't watch, the lady vols soccer team defeated the gators in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals in penalty kicks. It was a big upset. They play again in the Semifinals on Friday on the SEC Network.

A copy of Lattimore's letter. Class act.

I know he's got my support. Dude was a class act in college. IIRC he never got in trouble and was always a classy player. I highly respect those individuals whether they are a UT Vol or not. He is one of my favorite players from this age. Definitely rooting for him.

22years older than you...have a 12 and 9 year old...gotta keep up. :)

Hey Doc, that lake is getting some help I see. Finally about to stop here. It shuts my world down when it rains but I was thinking about how bad y'all needed it and didn't mind taking one for the team.

I know this thread is strictly football talk , but its about the Vols so it should be okay. The Lady Vols soccer team just beat Florida (ranked #8 in the country) in penalty kicks after tying 1-1 in regulation to advance to the SEC tournament semifinals. They'll play the winner of Kentucky v. Auburn (who are currently playing) Friday evening.

GBO!
