Here's the thing with Kiffin and us. People have a personal way of looking at it. The common reference I hear is the gf who dumped you. I don't see it that away. As I understand it he told us upfront not to get serious because he had a gf on the west coast that he wanted a LTR with but he would go out with us since she wasn't into him at the moment. When she called he went. We should have never hired him under those circumstances in the first place - assuming that is what happened. We're still pissed because even though he supposedly told us not to get serious, we did anyway, and then when he left, as he said he would do, we had to deal with rejection. It should have never happened but Hamilton so I'm not surprised. jmo.
Nothing good can come from this other than more oversight of how people are treated in the program. Antone is as nice a person as you want to meet based on my several conversations with him. The players thought of him highly and looked to him for advice and direction. Who knows what has been going on in Butch's head, but this job was way to big for him.
Morris and it's not close.
Even discussing Kiffin is a slap in the face to this program.
TAMU will go after Morris. If this Gruden thing is just smoke, which I think it is, then perhaps Curry has some B12 ties Gary Patterson. Fact is it's rare for P5 guys to leave. They have have a reason, like Bielama leaving Wisconsin or Paul Chryst going to Pitt. I don't think we settle for an up and comer. It will either be Mullen, Fuente, Sumlin, Petrino.
Anthony Miller is a great WR and will get a shot in the NFL.
Their young backup QB played a few weeks ago, and he has nice potential. He is quick, so the offense will probably more run oriented.
He attended the signing ceremony. When Anthony Miller was a senior at Christian Brothers High School, he attended the signing ceremony along with everyone else. He sat at a long table. He put on a Memphis hat. He posed for photos and he picked up a pen and he signed the paper that was in front of him.
Except, for Miller, that paper was different than for the other players.
There was nothing on it, he said. It was just a piece of paper. I still have the picture.
Its a reminder of how far Miller has come.
From afterthought to potential All-American.
From walk-on to the most prolific receiver in Memphis history.

Guys Im no insider but I talk to some people. TiFWIW, but Ive heard we have hired Gruden. He knows MNF is about to go under on ESPN and hes been looking for a new gig. So in 2018 he will be inside Neyland Stadium on Gameday.
There was a big battle between the boosters and AD and other guys with the power. Punches were thrown, shots were fired, the law was called, and in the end a compromise was reached:
Gruden is replacing Tim Priest.
Apparently, watching this season of godawful football has really effected Tims health and he wants to spend more time with his family. Gruden will step in and work with Kessling doing color commentary.
Were keeping Butch for 2018 as head coach but apparently theyre going to get him one of those transistor head sets and Gruden will call plays during the broadcast.
Again, TiFWIW. It could all turn out to be false but I really trust the guy I got it from Ill even reveal my source: His name is Mike he works at the meat counter at Food City and hes never steered me wrong before.
Im fine with the end. As Ive always said, were all RIGHT at the same time. As for the high school coaching relationships, Dooley did a masterful job of wrecking the Tennessee versions. By most accounts, Butch repaired the majority. Im sure you name a college HC and you can find high school coaches who hate his guts. Truth is mired somewhere in the middle imo.
