We should have 7 wins right now with just better in game coaching. We lose almost no one next year. Talent is there.
All you got to do is leave and you were great.
I agree.
Anyone left standing injury free could be mowed down for good measure
Haha, nah I was always big on Jancek. Took us from 28 ppg to 24 to 20 (2015). Top-20 3rd down D last 2 years. Statistical know-nothings bashed him for a small sample size of 4th down plays when his vast majority of playcalling led us to having a very solid D.
3rd down is now in the dumps. You have to wonder if Shoop was leeching off Jimmy Franks all along. Their D had no dropoff without him, but we have gotten worse.
We have some good pieces at the skill positions but I just don't think we'll have enough quality depth on either side of the line to make any noise. I'm thinking 8 wins will be the max next year.
If there is a hire in place by the bowl game...would be great for the new coach to evaluate current assistants and hopefully keep CMG. Idc about any of the others tbh. Would honestly love for Strip to stick around in some capacity.
Dline we should. Oline is a weird mess...best case we get some juco or transfer. Hope Boulware changes his mind and Hall is healthy. Pay Pittman what he wants. Uga has half the starts we do and not quite the paper talent, but they made monumental leap forward and are now 10x the line. Absurd.
Yep - the same type comments were made by the same posters during Dools final year.
Can't see making a bowl. Mizzou is going to put up 50 on us next Saturday and I can't see us beating both LSU and Vandy. A bowl would be nice for the practice with the new coach though.

I have personally been told the MOU is signed, but I have not seen it with my own eyes. Therefore, I'm not going to claim it as fact. Although I do trust who I've heard it from.
In preparation for [the 2002 NFC Championship Game] Jon Gruden have the single best motivational speech I've ever heard. In reality, most coaches' speeches aren't like in the movies, where the coach builds up and up the momentum until the team charges hell-bent onto the field ready to rip down the entire stadium. If a coach does give that type of speech it's usually Saturday night. The Sunday speech is the matter-of-fact review of what we need to do to win the game. All business. Gruden gave this speech at the beginning of the week. He stood up in front of us and explained that there were 10 things we needed to do to beat the Eagles. Ten Things! He went down the list one by one, blah blah blah, blah blah blah, we'd heard it all. But then he got to the number one thing we needed to do, and he started talking about their kick returner Brian Mitchell. "I want Brian Mitchell's ass on a plate," he said. "And once we finish with the Philadelphia Eagles we are going to go to San Diego for the Super Bowl..." he paused, grinned and concluded, "Where the coach is gonna get two hotel rooms for all my *****es!"
The room erupted. Exploded. That was it, that was the greatest motivational speech ever. There isn't even a second place. "The coach is gonna get two hotel rooms for all my b!xches!"
