This, this and this again.

There is no hiding incompetency in S&C along with nutrition. Very few people were questioning Butch's approach with Lawson and they should have been, along with the Navy Seal BS that was introduced.

Just overthinking it and believing blindly in his own creation.

That was an excellent observation, OG doesn't ave them often but when he does they are skrong.:)

Letting Lawson walk has been a HUGE part of Burch and the program's downfall. Team discipline took a major hit also. Remember that oline that went toe to toe with Bama in 2015? Fast forward to the unit against Appy State in 2016. Big difference.

What would you consider "on the brink" to mean statistically? I would say 10-20% and imminent.

I would say this if we were 4-7 and our last game was vs LSU...not at 4-5 with 2 winnable games. VU is at least a coin toss. Coin tosses aint on the brink. Especially 2 of them.

10 pt spread?! Mizzou is 4-5 too. Maybe if JG is called out...there the x factor lies.

I did a little research and on the brink may be a little bit over the top, but as of right now, we have a 35% chance to beat Mizz and a 28% chance to beat LSU (according to ESPN FPI). We also have a 68% chance to beat Vandy as of right now. So, statistically, at this point, we are likely to win one more at least. Still, I think only one game is a coin toss, and that is Vandy. None of them are coin tosses, IMO, without JG.

The USM coach stomping onto the field trying to get tossed was mildly entertaining.

It was. He had a beef, I think. I understand the rule, but in this case, it was malicious compliance with it as the "jumper" did not put anyone in danger and did not affect the play in any way.

Lawson was a damn good s/c coach...when he left, football went downhill.. hard saying how good this team would be if he was still here. We use to wear teams out when he was coach

Power is shifting back to the East.

Fat being trimmed, in Mac and Butch. Both should upgrade. If Frost, than Florida has killed it.

Kirby improved UGA.

Muschamp is not better than Spurrier ‘s best, but better than his last couple of years.

Mizzou, KY, Vandy par

Out West....

Freeze is gone and Ole Miss will go back to the dark ages

Sumlin is shakey

Gus is inconsistent

Orgeron is sketchy, but winning at the moment

Bert is shakey

Mullen plods along

I’d say things are about to even out

Not a good thing....dont get why people want East great again. I just want strong UT, weak sec. I'd rather be a Clemson or Oklahoma than an LSU.

Could we be a five win bowl team, or is their criteria to meet, that would exclude us?

So IF we make a bowl does Butch get to coach it? With the new recruiting calendar you almost have to name your replacement before the bowl game.

Team motto this year reflects what coaches thought were areas of growth potential

Details
Accountability
Toughness

Nice evaluation... didn’t quite stick the landing

I think it's likely we have our first 4-8 (0-8) season at Tennessee. That's below Dooley levels for crying out loud. Butch Jones is a little, and I mean a little, bit better than Dooley.

Lawson and Jancek. Elite 3rd down D and 20 ppg are in the past.

Though not having our best LBs past 2 years hurts a ton.

Can't see making a bowl. Mizzou is going to put up 50 on us next Saturday and I can't see us beating both LSU and Vandy. A bowl would be nice for the practice with the new coach though.

Because it makes us feel better about going oh-fer or one-fer ot two-fer in the division.

OAN: if we win only one more game, we would finish at 5-7 and conceivably get invited to a bowl, thanks to our outstanding APR, right? If so, and we play and get beat, does that 8th loss go against the "UT and OSU are the only teams never to have lost 8 games" storyline?

Just think fellas... within 32 days, we will know whether it’s a Gruden, a Bobo or something in between.

It’s like a pregnancy test, but you know there is the possibility it’s a baby troll or CEO in there

The position we're in on both sides of the line is what makes me think this is probably a 6 or 7 win football team next year no matter who the coach is. Way too early to get a decent idea though. All together both lines are soft like their head coach.

We should have 7 wins right now with just better in game coaching. We lose almost no one next year. Talent is there.

.
Currie will not jeopardize losing Gruden just for the sake of keeping Butch for the rest of the season, but his desire is, and has been, to fire and hire within a very short time period.

Personally, I believe that Butch gives this team their best chance to win the next 3 games. It's not a good chance, but I don't think an interim has anywhere near the same chance. Currie believes this, too. He's ok with the fan base being upset with him for the time being. If/when he hires Gruden, he knows we'll all be back.
