Pretty sure I saw where they are building new Facilities that will rival anyone in the SEC so mark that one off.

They are in Florida, easier to recruit.

They don't play Bama every year. Not complaining as a fan, but if you are weighing pros and cons on taking one of the two it has to factor in. Who would really want to play them twice a year possibly?

We have at this point, a mess within the AD and among boosters. They have an AD not afraid to make a move.

Right now with the orange glasses off, Florida is a better job.

I’m with you on your overall thought process man. It’s very clear that booster powers are applying public pressure to get the admin to do what they want.

I don’t think MIT or Bubba are trolls. It’s clear they’re a part of the agenda. I think that agenda is Gruden plan A and has about a 20% chance of happening. Plan B is 75% likely. Plan B is we hire a stud and get back to being serious about football. The public pressure being applied may not land Gruden, but it forces the hand of the admin to get serious.

The other 5% is we do what we’ve been doing. But I think that’s about to change.

I don’t understand why people get so bend out of shape about the people that share info here. Believe it or don’t believe it. Or hope for it but remain skeptical. It’s funny that people drag Boro and DTO thru the mud but don’t give SBV any flak. They all shared what they thought was real (and was real according to the people telling them).

It’s a fun ride man. I have hope we’ll get us a real winner. Whether is gruden or frost or Mullen or whoever... good days are ahead and soon this thread will once again be about the studs we’re pulling on the recruiting trail and how we’re gonna beat the Ish out of bama once we’ve reset.

He wasn't ever going to do enough at Texas. Could've won a natty and they still would've been ready to move on. He didn't fit Texas at all.

He’s an SEC coach imo

Texas was not his element and a bad fit all around. SEC is his comfort zone and I think he would be pretty good. There’s several I would take ahead of him but I could get behind that hire.

As we sit here today these are the guys that would really excite me. Some more than others.

I know I crap all over the Gruden rumors but if we were to somehow pull it off it would be the most boss hire ever and my confidence in UT would be restored even if the hire ended up not working out perfectly.

Im not in the "done deal" group, and don't believe everything thats posted here or anywhere else regarding Gruden being the coach.
This go around has been handled different than the last in a good way (some wont agree since Jones is still here or will jump back to 2012) but I feel confident in what SBV has posted in that regard couple with hearing some other things from various places.

It may not ever happen but both are in different positions with different circumstances than 2012.

Taggart scares me, but not as much as Frost or Chip. I think Taggart would do very well but I’d feel like Frost or Chip would dominate the East.

Didn't want Strong over Butch the 1st time around. Still don't. Strong IMO would be worse here.

Facilities are garbage.

Miami and FSU are in-state competition for recruits.

In-state talent in Tennessee is rising and extremely fast.

Young talent at Tennessee is leaps and bounds better.

The AD just hasn't pulled the plug. Jones is fired and even the recruits know it.

Taggart has shown more than Frost easily at this point. And is an elite recruiter with ties to both Florida and the West Coast. He'd be a huge problem

I know you really like Taggart. I'm not as enamored with him but I admit I haven't really given him much of a chance because he is in year 1 at Oregon and I don't think we could snag him. So I haven't researched him as much.

Chip Kelly is the perfect fit at Florida. He's all offense which is what those new money front running fans love. He doesn't like recruiting and he'd be at a school where you don't really have to.

Taggart has been spending a lot of time denying the rumors that Florida contacted him (through agement I am sure). Last night at dinner he was quoted as saying it isn't true.

So it is probably true.

I have seen this stuff enough in life that when you are trying to hide the truth you tend to take more effort in covering it up than you would if the first thing you said is the actual truth.

I'd also like to add Frank Wilson to the list. He'd be an awesome dark horse candidate. Next superstar in the conference.

Alabama > LSU

Building a $60 million football facility that will be among the best in the conference

Recruiting at Florida is easier than Tennessee

In state talent is still superior in Florida

Florida has legitimate young talent as well

Their AD is light years ahead of the cluster**** that has been UT for the last decade

That’s exactly why I said he would scare me..🤔

I also think that Frost is the next superstar, was an elite recruiter at oregon, and has the higher upside. Taggart may have shown more at this point but Frost scares me much more for the future. JMO.

taggart recruiting UT would be hell on wheels too. Kids love that guy. Scott Frost is from the same mold though. Guy is gonna be a star. Thats who im hoping for.
