How come all this great talent at Alabama does nothing in the NFL?

Kamara and Barnett have done more than any Bama rookie this year.

Alabama's talent level is extremely overrated. They are deep no doubt. 1-80 they are definitely the best. But in terms of starting 22s or top 10 players, they are not that elite.

Tennessee in 2015-16 had better top end talent. And that is why our guys are performing better in the NFL right now than the overhyped Bama guys.

OJ Howard is having a REALLY good season at TE for Tampa Bay, Dalvin Tomlinson has been really good for the Giants playing in every game clogging the middle of their DLine, Cam Robinson has started every game for the Jags and Reuben Foster has been a machine as a rookie for San Fran. Jonathan Allen and Marlon Humphrey are both starting to pick up steam as they have been getting more playing time each and every game.

I really don’t understand the view that Mullen would fail here. He’s done better than Butch Jones while at Mississippi State. Makes no sense to think Mississippi State’s ceiling is the same as ours, unless folks just have a low view of Tennessee (which perhaps the Mehlenites do).

I think he’d be a great hire. Not a big splash but a great one nonetheless. I’m honestly concerned he is simply looking for a raise. He’s my floor for great hires.

Well, he's says later that people can change their minds. Reading between the lines it looks like his theory is he committed to signing but hasn't. He still says he's 99.995% confident.
