I agree. My case in point is Clemson. There is literally nothing they have that we don’t have and they are the defending national champs. Only possible argument is a weaker conference but I think they could have won the SEC with Watson.

It seems he believes that the program is in a very good position to make the right hire. Not just monetarily, but also current roster, AD leadership, and outside support. That in itself is a big change for him, but you are right that he’s still in wait and see mode.
