Sure. Gruden always flirts and some at UT have wanted to consummate the deal for years. I'm just saying there's a big difference between possibilities and presenting pure fabrication as evidence of a done deal.

Everything you have said up to this point indicates you think we are just starting the search tomorrow. Do you not think there is a chance we already have someone on the hook? If you don't, then it would be very obvious Currie is not taking this search as seriously as he claimed he would, and the question would be asked- what has he been doing up until this point?
I just can't believe we are "starting" tomorrow with Mullen...

In regards to football?

Nothing but foot dragging and an unwillingness to reign in ineffective coaches.

If he nails this hire, the perception will change. But given what we’ve seen from him this far and his track record back at KSU, I’m not getting my hopes up.

Foot dragging and unwillingness to reign in ineffective coaches?

Lol. That’s just smart talk for bass speak.

Agree with the "proving" idea. At this point you could apply that to every name that's floated too. Gruden isn't a done deal to me until he's standing at the podium and I still fully believe he is in play.

Currie is either a freaking genius or he's gonna have a PR calamity on his hands. IMO

But people aren't saying other names have joined Cherokee, bought the Haslams' house, hired Tee as HCIW or have had a signed contract for a week. A lot of claims are easily disproved-- if people cared to validate. And you're right-- Currie could face a backlash if the hire doesn't measure up.

Maybe 30 years ago this thinking makes sense.

In the society we live in with social media, it’s a shortsighted way of looking at things.

They'd get hammered either way.
Announcers would go on forever about how there's so little discipline that they wouldn't even pull the trigger on dismissing JJ like any competent AD in the country would. What a lack of leadership at Tennessee, they just let the players run all over them and they're too scared to dismiss someone who obviously needs to be dismissed.

I think quick and decisive is always the best route in situations where 100% of organizations would do the same thing.

Are you saying Cherokee and haslams house thing are false?

lol ok ziti. Hilarious to hear this coming from someone who’s been all in on the Grumors lately.

I’m still for giving Currie time and waiting to see how it plays out, FTR. I’m just going on record and saying that I’m not hopeful given his track record thus far.

Rumors going around that Gruden was actually at Calhouns, and the AD is covering it up.
TIFWIW

This picture is making the rounds on VQ.

It's another pic of the back of pseudo-Gruden's head, this time in the box with Currie (?) from last Saturday.

I think the guy looks a little too stocky to be Gruden. Head and neck look too thick.

This is a shallow way of looking at it. You’re arguing from the opinion you’ve decided to hold. Teams indefinitely suspend players facing rape allegations. An indefinite suspension of JJ wouldn’t be looked at that differently
