I think the guy looks a little too stocky to be Gruden. Head and neck look too thick.

Agreed. I still really want to know who pseudo Gruden is and why there are seemingly no pictures of the guy's face. What a bizarre story this whole Gruden thing has been.

I'm not claiming everything posted here is even remotely believable must less legit or provable in any way. Im not chasing tweets from people I don't know or posters who know "someone". My opinion is strictly based off people I "know" and most of it didn't originate here.

Currie has handled this in a way that your usual suspects for verifying or shooting down rumors are in the dark.

That doesn't = Gruden Being the coach, but it also doesn't shut that door either. IMO.

He’s gonna make a great hire. No backlash coming and announcing Gruden isn’t a candidate isn’t the great idea that some think it is imo.

I've never said that. UT vetted a list of names and has been backchanneling for weeks. I think UTAD is taking the search very seriously and is invested in making a great hire. UT has been talking with agents, gauging interest, floating numbers and laying the groundwork so we can get someone in place the first week in December to meet with recruits and their families. We've culled the list and now we'll try and wrap it up quickly. Currie seemed positive when he talked to recruits, so we'll see.

The guy in the Calhoun's picture appears to be the same one in the box with Currie.

However it is known that Gruden was in Seattle at the time of the game (there's proof), so neither of those guys are Gruden.

And no that doesn't appear to be Blackburn either, unless he just used some Just For Men.

Actually looks more like Gary Patterson.

Dismissing him within hours just perpetuates the narrative that our AD is systemically inadequate.


Of course, theoretically “insert coaching candidate” likely would have dismissed him immediately. But right now all we have is a bunch of coaches who (Robert Gillespie notwithstanding) will be coaching at Who Gives a S*** University next season.

Good post.
I'm still upset over how this was handled. Sure what he did was wrong, but I feel it was handled completely wrong. Suspend him, let him heal further, one game against Vandy doesn't make a damn at this point. Let the next coach come in and straighten his ass out, and make him walk the thin and narrow, with a one strike and you're out policy!!
Such a chicken **** move by this staff, and Curry to back it.
