Just read some of Beaver’s tweets. I think he is someone in the know, but the info he laid out in the Gruden thread many weeks ago wasn’t about an agenda to hire Gruden. I think it was an agenda to overthrow the power of the Haslams. The plan was to hype Gruden and make everyone think he was a lock to coach, but he and whoever is involved knew Haslam would torpedo it just like in 2012. When Haslam torpedoed it by going behind everyone’s backs to make his own hire, then Volnation’s voice started to be heard, and the backlash became too much. This fully exposed the Haslams. Why would he all of a sudden make his twitter public, when he knows he may be lashed out at because of the Gruden stuff? He wants to be heard more and more, and he has media members now following him to get his message out farther abroad. He is striking while the iron is hot and putting on more steam to try to take down the Haslams. Go read his tweets in the last 24 hours. I hope this is what’s happening, because it’s our only chance to rid this university of the Haslams.

Just caught up on 20 plus pages.

Just like Schiano before, Tee is the only person who keeps showing up on every VQ list. I think that means something. Only name thrown out by Feldman as well.

Sounds like bad news with Brohm.

Please, for the love of God, stop talking about Lane Kiffin. He does not care about you. He does not regret leaving Tennessee. The only think he regrets is being an ******* to everyone in Southern California and getting run off.

This is stupid, but I don't want Pruitt because he's an Alabama Alum.

Pretty much onboard with all of this.

I would just like to hear that Taggart and Brohm said no. After that, I'm split on Morris and Tee. Brain says Morris, heart says Tee.

We need the Haslams out of the picture.

Yet the freaking FBI is gunning for them and we know there’s not a chance the guy ever does a day behind bars.

Depressing.

Sorry, but no. Under no scenario does tweeting veiled threats and half assed riddles from a protected account make any sense or resemble anything close to a “strategy.” He’s a troll, and he’s been FOS this entire time.

This is nuts. A decent coach can get 20s ranked classes at UT, a interim staff is going to get 50s+ garbage It is a self imposed death penalty. We might as well just quit forever. No good coach is going to want to start literally from scratch with non SEC caliber players on the team. I mean your talking about 12 games next season that will look like the Vandy game, a team of walking dead zombies with nothing to play for, can you imagine the toxicity that is going to imbed deep into the program...this idea is stupid. There are some decent coaches who can make the Vols competitive. You are talking about throwing mulitple years away on the gamble this horse**** admin will/can get a better coach than they can right now.

I was talking about an interim staff to get us to a hire this year. I'm talking about not rushing into a hire this week. Don't make a rushed hire because of this class. If it takes us until January, so be it. Freaking out over this class is stupid. We've been there and done that and it was disastrous. Delayed the rebuild by 4 years.

You should write fiction....because that's all you just posted.

I agree, Beaver is a complete troll

Battled Vol Syndrome, these guys want something so bad they grasp at straws and believe just about anything... Sad.

No way he is bonafide. He knows a bartender and a caddy at a country club.

I didn't feel the blue font was warranted. This is pretty obvious.

I wish we could go back and read the conversation this thread had a month or so ago. It was a civil conversation where a solid number of you had good things to say about Schiano as a Candidate. It was discussed that what he did at Rutgers was similar to Franklin at Vandy and Mullen at MSU. He had much more support than just myself.

THEN this thread fell for the grumors and we found out about Penn state. Funny to see so many here not owning up to initially liking him as a candidate. Now it's malpractice and illegal stuff while the nation laughs at us.

I'll own up to saying I thought he'd be better than Butch, give us a good defense, and maybe put a good staff together.

Didn't know about the PSU stuff or the depth of his personality flaws in Tampa Bay though.

Still think Currie probably could have sold Schiano to us all if he'd actually gone after some people for a week or two and then trotted him out as "the only guy who wanted the job."

But trying to deliver him to Knoxville the day after that a** whooping Vandy gave us was monumentally stupid.

I have not seen anything credible that confirms we met with Dan Mullen or offered him the job.

Pretty clear that Schiano was always the guy and once Mullen was off the board he thought he could run up there and hammer it through to give the impression we got our #2.

I’d bet a full bitcoin we never met with Mullen
