Post- Spring SEC rankings - ESPN

6. Tennessee: If not for so many injuries this spring, the Vols might be even more attractive. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs made strides, and running back Alvin Kamara could be a star along with Jalen Hurd. But with so many guys out and banged up this spring, it's tough to get a real read on what this team will look like this fall. The offensive line still needs work, and the Vols are in desperate need of a quality middle linebacker. Keep an eye on a faster, more athletic secondary, though.

1. Auburn, 2. Georgia, 3. Ole Miss, 4. red team, 5. Arky

Also, do a quick check on UF's Derek Doo...I mean Jim Mac's recruiting at UF and you get this picture.

Offer lists that only include teams like FAU and Ga. Southern. I guess they figure if you can't beat them might as well recruit against them? LOL!

This offer list tho

@ClowESPN: Peyton Manning told Butch Jones when he was in for the spring game that he was starting to see legit "Sunday bodies" again on Vols' roster.

Nb4 "He made similar comments to Kiffin and Dooley!"

Deflect!

You know you're worried...I have never seen a UF class look like that from a new coach ever.

Usually you'd be in the top 10 right now.

Why should I be? Mac just had 4 players drafted. 3 were former 2*.

Camp season hasn't even started. All these kids could get bumps by end of summer.

The predictions I have seen has him as the #17 OLB. Thats not first round. Will need a huge year.

Plus, Curt's a tweener, and tweeners don't go in the first round. If he can stay healthy though, I think somebody gets a really good value with Curt in the middle rounds.

You're not incorrect, but there are different dynamics to this. A starting SEC 4-3 DE who puts up big numbers on future NFL-caliber tackles and also has the versatility to play LB in the 3-4 is much more likely to be highly valued by NFL teams than a so-called "system" player like Tim Tebow or Nick Marshall whose production is essentially manufactured by the scheme. There's very little difference, if any, between our 4-3 LEO defense and the NFL equivalent.

This is by no means guaranteed, of course, like in Michael Sam's case. He was a great SEC player in college, but he lacks scheme versatility and doesn't have any elite measurables. Curt could get dinged due to his injury history and the fact that he's simply too heavy now to be very effective in pass coverage, but make no mistake about it, he has way more going for him skill-wise than Sam did.

Maggitt strikes me as a guy who will go in the 3rd to the Ravens or Steelers and everyone will continue to be amazed at how defensive talent that fits their scheme perfectly continues to fall to them.

And we beat the Vols like every year...I mean...we've liked sucked so bad last 4-5 years its a damn shame.

This is the only reason UF fans hang out on here. They feel like their team is immune to criticism from Vols fans.

Random VN poster: "Hey guys, look, UF seems to be struggli...."

Gator fan: "LOL irrelevant, we beat you 10 years in a row, your argument is invalid."
