I can just hear all the blue haired/down in front guys in 1965 when the band formed a T for the first time.

"Dickey has lost his mind. First the Power T on the helmets, now this crap".

I'd say the blue hairs from that era were more likely to complain about players having to wear "sissy" facemasks, or a player wanting to leave the game just because of a "little broken leg."

I kinda wish he'd stop getting so much attention. If he performs even the slightest bit under expectations, he'll be labeled as an underperformer...and those expectations seem to be growing on a daily basis.

Barnett didn't really come into his own until mid season last year.

He and Maggitt are going to straight up win games for us. South Carolina game in OT was just a preview of what they'll do this year.

Maybe 3 from that list. Weatherd plays the spy/blitzer, so I could see 3 from this list on the field at the same time depending on the call.

I like it, I'm hoping he's reading it and motivating himself. To live up to the hype makes one legendary. I think that's one reason everyone loved Eric Berry. We'd chant his name in the stands and he would just make plays.

Don't forget Bates. He's supposedly very good in coverage so I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see him out there in passing situations.

I would love to know SEC coaches' thoughts on Butch.

Except Tyler Bray wasn't good.

Just good enough that he broke a few school records, and if he stayed another year probably breaks all the UT QB records and we hit a bowl game.

Why we hate on Bray so much ill never understand. He gets the previous years defense, we win 9 or 10 games, with Dooley, and he goes first round.

True. But compare that to Dobbs' leadership during the 4th quarter of the South Carolina game (paraphrasing): "It doesn't matter how many points they score. We're going to outscore them and win the game."

This was also as much an epic collapse of an overrated USCe team as well. Don't get me wrong. We took it from them. But they dangled the bait in our grasp far too long or we lose And ask questions about Butch.

How about Bray driving us to win against Clowney and Tiny giving up the sack after Bray threw a rope to get us in field goal range. That's Bray not clutch, right?

Can you imagine Bray trying to run the read option? Would have looked hilarious.

It's a moot point considering Bray would have been ineligible in 2013, but I do wonder how Butch would have handled that season had Bray stuck around. Would he have waited a year to fully install the offense? There's just no way you can run any semblance of our offense with a QB as immobile as Bray.
