Gruden to Tennessee rumors are baaaaack. CBS Sports conjecturing that the Titans might approach Gruden if Whisenhunt doesn't work out-- and that Gruden might want to return to coaching. Despite signing that big contract extension. LOL.

Driving down to Daytona Beach, FL w/ my fiancé. Stopped in ATL to eat and I have seen dozens of people wearing Vols gear. It's insane how many UT fans are in Georgia.

Yep, and I have noticed A LOT more TN plates on the front of vehicles the past few months. People already starting to jump on the bandwagon.

Guess Drew is on campus...

That would be the Cookout in Murfreesboro, actually.

C'mon guys..it is rediculous to be expecting 10-11 wins this season. It is a recipe for disappointment. It is one thing to say that "with a few good breaks, and few injuries, we COULD win 10-11 games" to expecting it. We still have depth and inexperience issues at almost every position. It is fantasy to think injuries will not happen. If Dobbs goes down..disaster. If Hurd and Kamara go down..disaster. If the OL doesn't vastly improve, and IF they do improve, if any starting Tackles go down...disaster. If whoever wins the starting MLB position gets injured..well we saw what happened last year. Folks lets all expect continued improvement, but pump the freakin brakes a little, or what could be a really good year at 8-9 wins. Will just feel like another gutpunch...Go Vols.

The most recent discussion about wins was for 2016...

2016. I'm expecting 8 or 9 this year.

Oh...well don't I feel sheepish. I was just catching up on the thread from yesterday and I missed that y'all was talking about 2016. Yeah I agree with that. 10-11 wins in 16 is a must, and is very doable if the staff does their job right.

Jumping way out ahead here, but it's hard to see anything less than 10-2 in 2016.

Definite wins (100%):
Ohio, Tenn. Tech, Appy State (no Michigan-style upset here)

Extremely likely wins (85-90%):
UK, @ Vandy

Likely wins (70-75%):
@ South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Missouri (we've seen what happens when they play vastly superior talent), Florida (talent gap will be even greater in 2016, McElwain won't have them rolling until 2017)

Toss-ups (50/50):
@ A&M, @ UGA, Bama

I think we take at least one of the toss-up games, possibly two.

By 2016, we will have top 10 talent in the country, as studs from the 2014 class will enter the draft after that season, starting the cycle anew. Granted, it will take Butch 5 full recruiting cycles to build the type of depth he wants, but you don't necessarily need that type of depth to win when you're recruiting at a very high level.

We will have a roster to compete with anyone, plus the rare fortune of an elite senior QB, two elite upperclassmen RBs, elite upperclassmen WRs, the best pass rusher in the country, an elite secondary, a "good" OL (it damn well better be by then), two stud DTs with great depth behind them, elite special teams unit, etc.

That's an SEC Championship-caliber team.
I must have got too much sun today playin golf..lol. You most certainly were talking about 16. Brain fart..

As long as Butch has the team believing they can win every game I am happy.
Sure you can give valid reasons why this team will not win 10 to 11 games this season but every team we play has to deal with issues too. This is a dangerous team .
