I'm confused as to what people are upset about with Jennings? It says he threw one rock, and it hit the hood and windshield of the car, right?



Sounds to me like his accuracy is improving.

Even if it's as trivial as that, I peg him as a foolish immature boob who will reside in the dog house for a year if i were coach. Dobbs is testing airplane parts while Jennings allegedly went all High School Harry? I still don't understand it though, he comes across as a good guy.

Generally it's the G that gives me problems. What kind of bass did you play with ?

Most of the time, it was my first bass, a Samick.

I eventually took up a fretless. I loved that bass. It had a great sound on the dropped tuning we were doing at the time. It was later stolen. It wasn't long after that the fire just wasn't there. I still tinker here and there.

I'd love to get another fretless. I do also have a cheap acoustic.

Updated info on the Jennings situation. Jennings pushed some kids and threw some rocks. The rocks he threw caused $300 in damage.... yet Jennings own vehicle had $1500 in damage. Jennings father filed a complaint as well.

And the plot thickens. Jennings' father says damage to his vehicle was at $1500. Cops listed it as 'assailant(s) unknown' but given what took place and HS being a small world JJ probably narrowed down the list pretty easily and w/the confrontation did something stupid. Kids are quick to rat out kids to other kids. FWIW, both were under 18.

ETA: Also interesting to note that several vehicles were hit with rocks. Wonder if this kid was the last to come in or had a buddy brag to someone? Or something else. At any rate, I repeat: SMH.

Man, this crap happened all the time when I was in high school...all of a whopping 14 years ago. I'm sure it happened long before and has happened since.

Getting the cops involved and filing dueling complaints seems stupid. Give the crap back, fix the vehicles, make the kids do some miserable yard work to cover the cost and go on with life.

I hear ya and agree but honestly I ruffled a few feathers over this albeit very lightly. No biggie since I think regulars know I'm not a ruffler.

My theories are that: While most are far removed from rural life, even those in rural counties just aren't all that rural anymore small towns or rural counties don't say much anymore. Maybe I just worded thing poorly). Maybe I have too much rural and/or mountain blood in me despite growing up in an E. TN city on the good side of town and manicured subdivision at that. My mom grew up on a farm and she and her mom (my granny) did the lion's share though the vast majority was granny's work (hubby while far from lazy didn't tend thing as hard - more a testament to granny than anything against Pa. My mom expressly forbid me from 2 things: 1. No working in tobacco (I found out how hard it was later) and 2. No driving a tractor (mom saw too many accidents to ever want me around them).

Even so, Mom was the one who taught me how to shoot (me and my bro both) and packed heat before doing so was 'cool' in case she broke down up and down the mtn with her kids in tow.

And that's not getting into how amazing my Mammaw was!

TLDR: Just different POVs based largely on culture.

I figured something like this was what happened. I wonder if JJ was specifically targeted because of jealously or if his car just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope the truth comes out and if he was provoked by those this incident took place with get their names ran through the mud in the papers similar to what JJ has had to endure. From everything we have hard about him this was way out of this character.
