For all we know JJ and the dude have been enemies since they were in kindergarten. A arm brace..wth? It sounds like a small town party fight. I have been in fights just like this...jeez. Sounds like a wuss that got his tail wupped, and went crying to the cops.

And a cell phone. The other stuff is one thing but straight up stealing out of his car is a little bit different.

Does he deserve to be kicked off the team, placing his future livelihood in jeopardy? No. But to think its something that should just be laughed off is pretty ludicrous too.

I was an QB in high school and me and our FB fell thru a ceiling breaking into the school to find out a test grade and busted out a gas lamp at-this kids house who was a snob and a bully and we just had to clean up and pay for damages and work in the guys dad's store and get paddlings. But they let us play. Teens do stupid stuff. We both graduated and he is a partner in a big CPA firm in Atlanta and I own my own business and do well with families. If that was now, it would be all over Facebook and stuff. Life used to be different than now but kids are always stupid.

It has been well documented my admiration for this kids talents. I will not sit here and defend stupidity.

I'm not saying he should be kicked off the team or anything like that. I'm saying people would give up a ton to have these kids ability and opportunities they possess. Have to be smarter than that.

And doc..I am only saying this. What male among us has not gotten into stupid fights..just because we are boys, and sometimes the stupid in us comes out. My lord, people act like they have always been saints. Jeez..JJ is a boy who just got out of high school, and some folks here sound like he should be ruined for life. That is nuts. Correct him according to common sense..and move along.

These sum it up perfectly for me. He has now added unnecessary complications to his and others' lives by being immature. It happens. Sure did enough of that in my life. Now he's got to work his way out of it and pay the price.

If he shoved or punched the kid it's only Assault
If he took the kids phone by force it's only Robbery
