Best thing to do is alternate. Beer then tequila then wine then bourbon more beer then vodka then rum more beer then finish it off with some scotch. Squeeze in a trip to Taco Bell or Krystals if you can.

j/k Be safe and responsible.

I got sick just reading this.

I really hope the SEC never expands into Virgina and North Carolina...those states along with the midstate could keep up loaded for years to come.

If we ever did expand hopefully they name a couple more teams to the west like Oklahoma or someone.

STAY AWAY FROM OUR CRUITS SEC!

Happy birthday man! Assuming you will use your newfound legality to drink yourself into a stuper, be responsible tonight and have a predesignated place to stay and a DD.

Agree with everything except a DD

No VFL ever needs a Derek Dooley again...didn't need him to begin with, but we didn't know that at the time.

If you meant designated driver then I totally agree! :)

Good points. VA Tech would be a good cultural fit for the league though. Not sure who they would go after in NC? Maybe NC State but I couldn't see them leaving the other two schools from the triangle. Wake Forest would be interesting. Then they could put Vanderbilt in the West and give them a natural cross division rival.

Def better for us (from a recruiting standpoint) if future expansion involves Oklahoma or Texas, WV etc. I've always thought notre dame was an interesting wildcard for the SEC.

VT and WVU would probably be the two most willing to jump.

Texas is married to their Longhorn Network...they ain't giving that up to join the SEC.

Do you think they want to expand more? It seems like we have enough to me.

I don't think you should worry about NC because of basketball they will not leave ACC. Va tech would be a prime candidate though. To me NC is more important to our recruiting than VA. We are starting to get a strong presence in NC again. Va we haven't don't much there in a while and they seem to be selective on those targets. The staff seems to really be focused on TN, NC, GA. They seem to really like the Michigan kids as well

No more teams, please. We have enough.

I agree. But it's tough to imagine schools like NC State and Va Tech not looking enviously at the SEC Network money. Would be a coup for the SEC as well to expand into another state. I could see the conference adding both teams in the future and shifting a few current East teams to the West (or eliminating divisions entirely).

How about we just take the talent out of the states? And leave the schools? :)

SEC Network is an absolute powerhouse right now. UNC and Duke won't leave because of their rivalry, but NC State would jump at the opportunity to join the SEC.

I think adding A&M has showed us that adding a state's school to your conference doesn't give other conference members any inroads recruiting wise. LSU and Arkansas already tapped into Texas so nothing changed. Other schools? No change. If anything, Va Tech being a SEC school would negate the appeal of coming to Tennessee...to play in the SEC.

I think NC State would jump at the chance to be the only North Carolina school in the SEC, in the mold of Texas A&M, getting out of the shadow of big brother.

I've read previously that Virginia Tech and Virginia do not want to separate, same with the Oklahoma schools.

Certain schools would not allow the FSU, Clemson, and Louisville's of the world to join the SEC.

If I had to put money down, I'd put it on NC State and Cincinnati. Good TV markets and Cincinnati in particular would jump in about 2 seconds.

My understanding is they have a decent demographic in Baltimore/DC, but I could be way off.

Plus NC St is a distant third and fourth in basketball.

State population is key. NC has 10 million and VA has 8.5 million. That's a lot of potential TV viewers.

WV has only 1.8 million.

I agree that WVU makes sense from an athletics standpoint, but I don't see the SEC aggressively seeking them out. But they would absolutely love to get the network in more homes in North Carolina and Virginia.

Plus, the SEC Network's office is in Charlotte.

Better idea.... Assemble a militia, lobby for the TN Natl Guard to join forces and take over North Carolina and annex it into Tennessee. Then move north into the Tidewater area. Why? Butch with more Tennessee soil means we would never lose a game.
