I'd probably switch Freeze and Bielema and Butch with Spurrier.

Spurrier in his prime would obviously be higher but he looked rough at the end of last year and he's getting older.

Just heard on 102.5 an interview with (I think) Joe Shad. He said he really likes the Vols and thinks they are Dark horse National Championship contenders. Cited the return of WRs, QB, improving O-Line as reasons. He left out the DL we have coming back though. If UT can win the SEC, you're basically in the top 4 and he thinks UT is capable.

2015 SEC Football Predictions

I just submitted my preseason Southeastern Conference football predictions at SEC Media Days.

-I picked Auburn to win the SEC West and the SEC Championship. The Tigers are going to be outstanding on offense yet again and the defense should be much-improved with more healthy talent and a new direction under first-year coordinator Will Muschamp. 

-I went with Tennessee to win the SEC East. The Vols have the roster and quarterback to get it done this season the question is one of experience or “being ready”- here’s saying that they will be this year.

I know we haven't "proven" anything yet. But we have less question marks on our roster than all the other teams in the East. It's not that crazy to have aspirations of winning the East. At. All. In my opinion.

And you better believe if we win the East, my expectation would then be that we win the SECCG. I mean, you play the game to win championships. We are hungry. We have the team to compete. That's what we needed for those kind of expectations to finally be reasonable. I'm done waiting for next year. I don't have another year to wait in me. I need some hope right now for a change. I'm happy to see some hype around the good guys. When there is smoke there's usually fire. And it is smoking it's ass off in Knoxville right now.

If the east didn't suck so bad this year I'd agree, but literally anyone can take it, so our chances are as good or better with a returning qb and all but 2 returning starters on O/D combined. Only going to get harder after this year.

Two examples of why his list is sheer crap...

He ranks Richt third but, in his first sentence, he mentions the fact that he hasn't won an SEC championship in a decade...


Then...

He ranks Bielema 5th but prefaces everything by saying he hasn't proven anything and Arkansas won just 2 games his first year.

Not to mention he said virtually the exact same thing about Butch yet ranked him 11.

If you're creating a list like this, shouldnt you should provide information that supports your rankings instead of debunking the coaches he ranked in their respective positions with the first sentence?

Recruiting will be fine. Muschamp and Zook recruited very well with little results. UF had the most draft picks in SEC...think about that for a quick second. UF will recruit itself once field results improve.

I don't really see Kevin Hart but I'm still not convinced that Mason wasn't starring in season 1 of True Detective:

I think Malzahn is the superior X's and O's coach but Saban is the better recruiter. It seems like Gus's offenses always give Alabama's defense fits. In the past 2 Iron Bowls, Auburn has gained over 1,000 combined total yards of offense.

Gus hasn't won a bowl game at Auburn.

Pearson is so fluid. He's just a joy to watch honestly. He's powerful and tough and has such quick moves and burst. And dreads. I'm hoping he finds his way back on the field.
