That plus the painful UF loss after conservative playcalling suggests to me that Butch is going to be aggressive as hell in a lot of games this year to jump out to early leads. Can't let games drag out to the 4th quarter when depth is still an issue.

He also went on to talk about how teams can overachieve and underachieve aka the record isn't everything as Spurrier seems to be stuck on. It was subtle, but Coach Jones insinuated that S.Carolina underachieved while UT overachieved. At least that's what I got from it.

14 class. I have always thought that was the beginning of the end of spurriers run. They had depth issues anyway & losing that many players in a single class puts u behind the 8 ball (pun intended) for a few years

I wouldn't be surprised if he was drafted and played a few years for the money... but he's just as likely to stick around for a fifth year as a GA while he gets his MS. I know he was hoping to RS so he could complete the five-year BS/MS program, and I'm sure we'll make that financially feasible if he wants to stay.

This is exactly what I think will if happen if Dobbs decides not to go to the NFL after his senior season. If he plays well, he might give pro ball a try. However, he is not going to the NFL after this year. He's a good player, and a great guy, but we still have a small sample size of his production. I'm ready to see how he does against Okla, UGA, etc.

Normally I agree with your posts but I think you are off here. The aggressive pass play call that led to the sack fumble with us ahead 9-0 is what led Florida back into the game. If we just hand it off there and punt it away we win that game without question.

True, but being up only 9-0 and expecting to win was a huge mistake. Even without the strip sack, UF needed just one big play and they're within 3.

That's why I think Butch gets more aggressive past the 50 this year. More 4th down attempts, more shots at the end zone, and even a trick play or two.

That's all predicated on them stopping our offense, of course, which very well may not happen at all.

Vastly improved could still be mediocre from where they started last year. Would be extremely exciting if the statement was vastly improved from the bowl game performance :salute:
