WTF? Fire Hart? Seriously? Are you insinuating that Hart is the cause of this? Are you saying that in fact the AD at Tennessee really does promote this kind of behavior with the athletes?

People are so quick to go straight out to left field when they hear bad news. Seriously, if you're going to say something like this, give some kind of proof that Dave Hart told any one of these guys to go out and do these things, because it is ok with him.

If they did it (still alleged at this point i would assume), it's on them.

If the University is in fact sweeping things under the rug, then you have to look at the people involved. To just assume that from the get go is ludicrous though.

Sorry if my opinion offends anyone, but you know, I still try to think.....with my brain, not whatever part of my body causes knee-jerk reactions.

No I just want Hart fired. And this seems like a good opportunity

So...all of this Alexis Johnson news coming out of K-Town.

Is it a problem with UT? Or is UT actually being proactive about by working with the police and suspending players, which leaves a paper trail that reporters can follow?

I tend to agree. This happens everywhere, but UT isn't doing everything they can to keep players on the team like fsu and OU. It's crazy that Mixon is still on that team when he broke bones in a girl's face with a closed fist, Johnson is about to get kicked off the team for what he did, but UT is going to be painted as the school that enables that behavior.

At some point, you do have to draw the line. It is freaking crazy that guys can't be on campus for longer than two months without doing stupid stuff. This is no longer funny. It is a serious problem and be cute and funny all you want but at some point, your dollars are supporting things that can't be justify. Seriously, 14 year old girls. What's next? 5 year olds? Would you then treat it so lightly?

I just noticed that Jihad Ward is in Mel Kiper Jr's mock draft as a first round pick. I am pretty sure we recruited him slightly. A juco if my memory serves me correct. Just remember his name

You're making a colossal leap in logic from supporting UT Athletics to enabling Crowder to pursue a 14 year old. The two are 100% unrelated.

Interesting to see the same people outraged by the one sided, agenda fuelled reporting on Peyton rushing to justice on Alexis.

It was Valentine's Day. He was with a girl he already had been intimate with. She was 'play fighting' with a 300lb man-boy. What are the chances she panicked when things got rougher than she 'planned' on, got hysterical and tried to leave?

I put the odds at 50-50 she has calmed down, regrets over-reacting and tries to drop the charges. In my position I see this literally every second day.

For those worrying about your wife and daughters, grow up. No matter what happened or did not happen, as long as your wives are not flirt fighting with 300lb 20 year olds, I think they'll be fine.

Exactly. Thats what I'm screamin'

You can look up the Knox County General Sessions Court docket online.

Might be more than 1 Alexis Johnson in Knoxville but seems like a stretch to think two of them are set in the same division of Knox GS on the same day at the same time.

Edit: there's an ID number. Definitely the same Alexis Johnson.

I was looking at the inmate database for the knox county jail. It only listed the current accusations.

Edit: I'm not seeing him on the docket for Knox County sessions court either.

Because I don't think he's a great AD.

I agree. He backed into butch despite trying many other options and failing, kept holly way too long, can't hire a decent groundskeeper for the field for many years in a row, hired Tyndall for a one year stint. What has he done well other than hold his hands open for the 30+ million from the sec network and the 6M the school decided to stop taking from the AD?

I don't think he's bad necessarily, but I feel like UT could have a top AD, and we don't.

My favorite overreaction of the night was "This is getting out of control. Butch has got to see these character flaws ahead of time."

It is a part of the evaluation of prospects. You have to judge. Any kid can make mistakes but three guys dismissed after being on campus just a few days is a real problem.

One thing that worries me about this stuff and now the whole culture claims by the lawsuit is when does the lawyer of a defendant eventually use this as an excuse to why their client messed up? It's what usually happens they begin to blame the system over themselves

Apologies for the Tuttle misinformation, guys. VQ (and LWSVol) had been speculating for weeks that he wasn't going to be able to play this fall and Hubbs, in his usual cryptic way, did nothing to dispel the rumor for a long time.

However, after searching, I found that he posted this yesterday in response to a question about Tuttle's viability in 2016:

I don't have anyone telling me he's not going to be able to play. The injury he suffered was really tough and is a long/tough rehab for a guy his size.

Whatcha mean?

Lol.....More often than not, when someone starts a conversation about firing Dave Hart, it inevitably leads to some doofus coming in here and blaming the worlds problems on Hart trying to get rid of the "Lady Vols" moniker.

I was chastising you for leaving the door open for that conversation....lol. :)

Well, on the football side of all this, here's hoping that we aren't seeing a repeat of 2005. High expectations, lots of returning talent, followed by an embarrassing implosion.

Honestly, all this bad news is exhausting.

What three guys were dismissed after being on campus a few days?
