Everyone is pretty quick to judge this guy before any facts are out.
Surprising, considering what we learned of the VP incident.

Surprising, considering what we learned of the VP incident. Not saying Alexis is innocent but the way we jump to conclusions and cower in fear of Twitter mobs and special interest groups and the like is crazy. People on here talking about firing Hart because of this are off base.
Making rash decisions on something like this is what lead to a bunch of hoopla over the wolf crying from a professional victim this week.
Guilt and innocence are no longer relevant. UT has a perception problem and it has to act. You get arrested, you're out. Simple as that.
I hope Alexis is innocent, but regardless, these types of incidents happen constantly among college football players. It's pretty tiring to hear our beloved program associated with it, yet again.
What are you gonna do if another VP incident happens?
Edit: For the record, I think they are gonna boot Johnson if they have enough evidence to do it.
I hope though that we don't start booting people for the sake of public perception without reason. We've already seen Missouri make an embarrassing mistake like that.
He'd likely be gone and was quite lucky he got to come back as it is. I'm not saying I like it. I believe in due process for everyone.
Players need to get a consent text every single time they hook up with a girl or stay in and play video games.

I was looking at the inmate database for the knox county jail. It only listed the current accusations.
Edit: I'm not seeing him on the docket for Knox County sessions court either.
He's lucky he got to come back? Did anyone actually read all the stuff that came out when that case was dropped? I swear, our fan base was so glad to see it dissolve that nobody looked to see how bogus it all sounded.
It sounds like you think due process is optional.
As far as players getting a consent text, that's not based in reality and that is the kind of thing that feminist mobs would say.
Our players have to be smarter, especially in the climate we are currently living in. That doesn't mean that justice is optional now. Right is right and wrong is still wrong.
Are you arguing for the sake of having an argument? I've consistently said I believe in due process for everyone.
As far as getting a consent text being a feminist principle, its really quite the opposite. If I'm an athlete I'm saying, "I literally don't trust you not to try and screw me over at some point." Especially if its likely a one night stand.

And yes, Von is lucky he got to come back. Hasn't the Manning situation taught us all that details and facts matter very little? It's the perception of the situation that matters. The current perception of UT is we foster a culture of rape and violence acceptance. The only thing Butch and co can do to combat that is to immediately dump anyone accused of these types of crimes.
Wth is wrong with Removing the kid from the team with an indefinite suspension and bringing him back if things work out and if they don't dismiss him permanently after all the facts are evident?
