I'm not an insider, but I'll take a crack at this.
First of all, the bit on Tuttle's injury is conjecture, not news. This staff keeps injuries close to the vest so we don't have an actual timetable for him, but it's way too early to get concerned here - he has more than a half-year to heal and rehab.
Second, if Johnson is gone then we're still not in a bad situation. McKenzie and Tuttle are very good starters. Vickers and O'Brien are a very good second string. Picou has talent; just needs to keeping adding good weight. That's a top five that almost all teams would trade for in an instant.
We also have several bigger DE's who can play inside some, either on a situational basis or in case of injury. Barnett has played inside. Kongbo may actually end up inside anyway, depending on how he takes to our nutrition and conditioning programs. Mixon has played inside before. Phillips has the frame to play there some, though he seems unhappy with the idea.
We have options, and we're not in panic mode if Johnson is booted. It DOES, however, put more pressure on us to have an elite haul at DT in this cycle. But we're gonna be alright.
What previous problems are you talking about?
One of his charges on the docket is a probation/parole violation revocation hearing. It appears he's had other run-ins with the law. Listed was possession of a controlled substance, refusal of the implied consent law, and something with the drivers license law (I thought maybe he was driving on an out of state license, hadn't gotten a TN one???).
Are you arguing for the sake of having an argument? I've consistently said I believe in due process for everyone.
As far as getting a consent text being a feminist principle, its really quite the opposite. If I'm an athlete I'm saying, "I literally don't trust you not to try and screw me over at some point." Especially if its likely a one night stand.
Please no Susan Martin good grief! Who makes that decision? University president or BoT? Now I'm hoping we just keep Cheek and Hart in place at least we know what were getting with those two. Has anyone else with knowledge in the media hinted at a change or is this just Basillio? It would be so Tennessee to put her in charge though. Please let Basillio be off again.
I agree.Kinda like Uber you have to approve the ride and price.I'm not sure you get the feminist culture. A feminist would be offended that she couldn't be trusted to verbally consent to sex. Anything that puts a man and woman on a different standing is counter to feminist culture.
Also, I never ever said it should be required. I simply suggested it would be a dang good idea.
And no doubt consent can be removed at any time. However, it adds an extra layer of protection against any allegations that may occur later.
I'm not the first one to suggest the notion of consent texts.

Thanks Big Ziti- I just saw Basillios tweet. Hoping he is wrong on this since it does appear that's who he was referring to without naming her. Almost a "tease" before his Friday blog. Ugh!! Wishing the AD was still under the President. It seems like ever since that change took place it has been one mess after another. Is he is danger of losing his job as well do you think? What might make more sense here is to see what comes of this lawsuit before people start losing jobs actually but in today's environment someone has to be the fall guy.
Condeleeza Rice? I would think she could be really good man or woman.
